A typical day is interpersonal with many clients that involve problem-solving according to set goals and reviewing care plans with a health-care team for consistency.

Groups are where learning happens with effective ongoing residual results. Team leaders have the privilege of seeing positive growth at multiple levels

Most managers are caring and want the best environment for staff and clients.

The hardest part of the job is when the plan is not always followed which leaves a strain in relationships. With care it can be worked out.

The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing positive outcomes with applied techniques, and everyone leaves feeling happy the goal was accomplished.

Easily one of the most toxic work environments I have ever experienced.  Senior management regularly belittles and denigrates staff, both in their presence and behind their backs.  Staff are ordered to work in a siloed environment where they are not allowed to discuss their work with fellow employees without permission of senior management.  Teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation are not encouraged, in fact management regularly creates situations which puts employees at odds against each other.  This is an environment where it is dangerous to speak up, as management is very vindictive and will seek retaliation, so speaking up will result in management’s wrath and or dismissal.

Serious lack of management.

Significant lack of organization, and more importantly leadership in some locations, which constantly caused issues due to the disconnect between the management "team" and staff. A lot of questionable actions, decisions, and secrecy. Very difficult to be proud of where you work at times. With properly guided and mature leadership, Kindale could be an excellent place of employment, but until such changes are made....

If you are submissive and obedient you will fit in. Don’t ask questions, you can only talk to 2 people, not allowed to ask any one else questions. You should walk in knowing everything about the job on day one. If you ask anyone else a question without permission you will be in trouble. If you talk to someone who works for the company in a different location and they are in the building, you will be in trouble. Because I want to make sure I do my job correctly, I asked questions which they assured me was a good thing, I was told in an email that I had to save my questions until Tuesday and Thursday morning

Amazing staff and the amazing reason why we do it. For the person served to have their best day.

Making sure the person you care for are getting the best of care especially when feeling unwell.

Fun exciting  creative energetic focused busy happy laughter

Routine! Just a normal every day structure wakeup evety day forwith a new idea

It was a toxic work environment with rampant bullying exhibited by upper management

Workload, meetings with management

Toxic work environment that routinely did not take care of its staffs mental health or offer recognition.

Hectic fast paced and stressful

I’ve been with Kindale in the childcare centre for a year now. I love my job! Constant support from management and opportunities for further learning are at every turn. They actually will send emails with seminars and courses they think may be useful to your career. Having been out of the work force for 12 years to raise my kids, this was a very welcome place to start back! Staff is upbeat and supportive. The job itself is fast paced but it’s fun and always something new happening.

Ability to learn and a space to grow if you are willing to understand them and the house members.

Too many people from the same community

Community Service is the part which I liked the most .

Awareness is needed especially for the patient you care .You need to make sure they are aware of the sorroundings .

The residents. Pension and benefits.

Horrible management! Liars, minimal support for staff.

More concerned about the money they make off of the residents then their care.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Can be very stressful. Depends on which house you work at.

Great paid training from Mandt to First Aid to med training. Lots going on in a day to support residents goals and outings- I am never bored. Funny and supportive co workers including meeting people from all over the world. Of course there is some drama, thats anywhere.
I find management supportive even if answers take awhile. Meals provided. Everyone eats together. Leave at end of day feeling like I made a difference.
Great benefit package. Great shop steward.
