Had an incredible experience to work for this company.My job Responsibilities included previously done tasks like, requesting a quote from vendor, completing received quote and sending for project lead’s approval. Once the quote was approved by the project leader, part of my duties was to place purchase orders with supplier, calling suppliers to follow up on the delivery date and recording notes in holdbacks of every call made. In addition to this, once the parts were received, I prepared incoming Inspection documents for inspector to review. I also updated and presented Dashboards for all project managers that included details of the project like total budget, remaining budget on the project, cost for labor and material, commitments, delivery date from supplier and delivery date to clients. Moreover, I processed expenses of entire department staff through Concur Expenses. My duties required continuous communication with customers and project managers in order ensure tasks were completed in timely mannerThe organization culture was  informal, friendly and supportive. The company makes sure that there is an upcoming event every other month so the entire Kinectrics team has something to look forward
to. They promote suggestions from different departments and within the department from all level of workers to make sure employees have a fun and productive work environment. The most difficult part of the job was that we would get quotes any time and almost every order was rush and had to be placed immediately so I had to stay after work to make sure the task is completed. Everything that I did was enjoyable because it provided a learning experience, enhanced my computer, leadership and organizational skills and helped me to work on my weakness.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The paid was decent especially since they paid for overtime (when approved).

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unrealistic expectations in all areas of the job (timelines, hours of work, continuous last min requests) and archaic processes/systems. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Blame culture, rooted from top management. Someone was also a scapegoat, even if information was not shared or issued existed from years before joining the company. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depends on the day and the department. In finance there was a lot of rework needed due to system crashes and poor design. There would always be last min request near the end of the day and everyone was on pin and needles whenever the CFO was around.

Kinectrics will provide a wonderful environment for qualified engineers, scientists and technologists in the power generation to use their technical skills to the max. They will also gain the opportunity to grow and advance professionally.

This company is also a truly equal opportunity employer. Advancement is available to those who earn it. Pay and benefits are top-notch as well. 

On the downside the workloads in some areas tend to be quite heavy  which can affect work / life balance. Some areas of management could also be more organized.

The salary is high and the benefits are great. However, it really depends on who your direct supervisor is, and in my case, I got a really grumpy and unprofessional one, and every few days I got put down and belittled. Even though I worked so hard, the performance review was based on hearsay given to the department manager by my supervisor, and they will use any excuse to cap you from any advancement. There is a lot cellphone abuse and time theft that was never taken seriously, and management does absolute nothing because they did not know how to manage in the first place.

Overall, the company is growing, the culture in most of the business is good. The engineers are treated well, but central departments - especially finance is crazy all the time. Very poor systems and processes leads to never ending month end and crazy amount of reporting. This leads to working a lot of overtime

This job is pathetic. Supervisors show absolute favouritism.  Company should ask employees for their opinion on shifts and hours but instead wait until complaints to union by employees. Mandatory overtime and holidays denied during this time!!  No work/life until employees begin to quit! Steer clear!! Not worth it especially if you are a parent or someone with a life outside of work

Bad Management. No Teamwork. Supervisors prefere to work against each other than together. Many fights in upper level. Conflicts are not solved. Overtime isnot compensated. 
Super poor internal processes, time wastes every day. Poor quality... And clients complain... Just an arrogant company. 

From the outset, I was impressed by the supportive and collaborative work environment. The team is composed of highly skilled professionals who are always willing to share their knowledge and expertise. This has been invaluable in my professional growth, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of nuclear project management.
