After many years in retail, I can honestly say I wish I had discovered King Living earlier in my career. Working here has strengthened my skills in customer service, communication, teamwork, and adaptability.

Management is supportive, approachable, and encourages employees to grow and succeed. King Living empowers its people by creating an environment where everyone has a voice, feels heard, and is encouraged to contribute ideas and feedback.

The workplace culture is one of the best parts of the company. The values of Passion, Integrity, Innovation, and Collaboration are reflected in everyday interactions, and everyone works together to create a welcoming environment where people truly feel part of the King family.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the role is the opportunity to continuously learn, grow, and contribute to team success. 

The most enjoyable part is working alongside such a supportive team while helping customers every day. It’s rewarding to be part of a company where people genuinely care about each other and work together like a family.

What a bizarre workplace !

Forced family culture thats actually incredibly toxic. If you are someone who chooses to keep your personal life and work life separate then this place isn't for you. If you decline after hour work events you are ostracized and looked down upon, and are pressured to attend. Small company, everybody is oddly close and knows everything about each other. Not my kind of people, did not have anything in common with any of them, I was just there to work.

Everybody is fake happy. No bad days allowed ! Felt like a cult, everybody was drinking the Kool Aid. Sales salaries were dependent on being fake nice to each other, I was admin staff so I didn't have to keep up this facade. Funnily enough, I heard all kinds of things being said behind peoples backs the first week I was there.

Inexperienced managment (manager) It is apparent that they have had little experience managing, and working for multi faceted companies, specifically in the furniture industry. You can tell they were promoted quickly for being a smooth talker with decent looks and some charm and charisma, but lacks the actual hard skill to successfully Manage.

Embarrassing office space. Tiny little room in the basement/backroom, no windows, no fresh air.

Actual work was easy, however not challenging. The clientele were affluent. Many were incredibly rude and demanding, did not enjoy the customer service aspect of the role.


Working at King Living has been a very rewarding experience. The company offers a beautiful and professional work environment, with high-quality products that make it easy to feel proud of what you represent to clients.

One of the highlights for me has been the supportive team culture and the opportunity to build strong relationships with customers through personalized design consultations. The role has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, especially in communication, sales, and interior styling.

Management is approachable and encouraging, and there is a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service. I also appreciate the training and product knowledge provided, which helps employees feel confident in their role.

Like any fast-paced retail environment, there can be busy periods and high expectations, but overall it is a positive workplace with opportunities to learn and develop within such a luxury like furniture brand.

Arriving at work with a positive attitude and a smile and walking into our beautiful, calm showroom greeted by friendly team members truly makes my Day! We start each morning with a brief team discussion to review updates & priorities followed by by a showroom walkthrough to ensure everything is presentation ready for our guests.
Throughout the day, we assist clients prepare layouts & quotations and follow up on previous visits. even with 20 years years of Furniture sales experiance. I continue to always learn something new. As I become more familiar with the collections and quoting process, there are always new opportunities to refine my approach.
   I am working much more efficiently with SAP and King purchasing reports. My biggest challenge is balancing exceptional client service in the showroom while staying on top of quotes in a timely manor.  On the quieter days I appreciate the opportunity in catching up. Not a day goes by that I am more certain I made a great descison on joining the King Living team!

I feel fortunate to have been recommended a position at King Living. Before learning much about the company, I was immediately drawn in by the beautiful showroom and modern furniture—something fresh and relatively new to the United States and the Chicago market.

A typical day at work is usually very busy, but it is a healthy and productive kind of busy. There are always new things to learn every day, which keeps the job exciting and helps me grow professionally. The management team is very nice, friendly, and always cares about employees’ feelings and well-being.

The workplace culture is cheerful, supportive, and team-oriented. Everyone cares for each other and is always willing to help and support one another. The hardest part of the job is that sometimes we are short-staffed while having a very high number of customers, which can be challenging.

The most enjoyable part of the job is celebrating team wins together. There are many celebrations, positive moments, and a lot of enjoyment working with the team.

King Living has cultivated a fantastic culture among it's employees. Everyone is treated with respect and compensated well for their work. Despite it sounding cliché, it genuinely feels like King values all of their employees. There is great value in the products that we offer, making the demo/selling process fun and exciting! I personally adore the team I work with directly, and have only had positive experiences working cross-functionally. As a small company with impressive sales volume, sometimes the workload can be intense. Everyone on the team wears multiple hats, taking on projects outside of their job description to keep operations running smoothly. This promotes excellent growth opportunities for associates at any level, by offering stretch assignments.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at KING Living Calgary for just over 3 months and have witnessed firsthand the company’s commitment to excellence. 
From the moment I joined, I’ve been impressed by the professional yet welcoming atmosphere, and the team’s dedication to both customer satisfaction and innovation. The management team is highly supportive, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. Having worked with King across multiple positions (Sales Consultant, Assistant Manager, Showroom Manager and Regional Manager) both in Canada and Australia, I have always regarded King as my favourite workplace due to the importance they place on culture and the outcome that has on the work environment. 

Working with a diverse range of people across multiple departments I have always felt supported and appreciated not only within my role/s, but also empowered and then listened to when bringing new ideas to the table. 

Overall working with King has offered me a huge opportunity for both personal and professional progression, in an environment I enjoy going ti every day, surrounded by people who truely care about King and most of all each other. 

Lot's of work to do every day that is very rewarding as you see your personal efforts through client follow ups turn into numbers on the board.

I learn something new every day and I am not pressured in any way or discouraged by management - they are all very supportive and helpful in your personal growth.

Relatively stress free atmosphere in the showroom is created by the companies aesthetic and culture and belief system.

I have been selling furniture for 25 years now, and I have never worked in a more rewarding retail environment than here at King Living.
