My experience at Kings Energy Services had some positive aspects, particularly working alongside a number of skilled employees and technicians. However, the overall workplace culture made it difficult to succeed long term.

Leadership often spoke about the importance of “culture,” teamwork, and collaboration, but in practice the environment felt quite competitive internally. Employees were frequently positioned in ways that created competition with one another rather than encouraging collaboration. At times this led to coworkers undermining or trying to outmaneuver each other rather than supporting the team.

Another challenge was organizational stability. The HR role seemed to change frequently, which made it difficult to build continuity in policies and employee support.

From a safety perspective, the role responsible for safety oversight did not appear to be actively engaged with operations or employees on a consistent basis, which was disappointing given how important safety is in this industry.

There are good people working there, but the company would benefit from stronger leadership alignment between the culture that is promoted and the culture that is actually practiced day to day.

Good employees and technical experience

Cons:
Internal competition, leadership culture mismatch, organizational turnover

My 5 years experience working for King's Energy was the greatest time for me because I learned a lot of stuff regarding Oil and gas field products.
How they function, what's their function, how important is the products in Oil and gas business and build them from scratch. Friendly environment and I get along most of my co-workers without any issues. I had fun working for King's Energy over the years i spent in the company. I would like to thank all the staff and the owner that supported me and helped me to where I am at now. Thank you and I wish you all the best and success in your business.

Co-workers are great people to work with.  Culture is evolving and changing for the better by managers beginning to live and breath its new core values - TACT and leading by example.  Kings looks at getting the right people in the right seats.  For the people who have posted negative comments on here, it is likely you just were not the right fit for the company. Every company has its bit of disfunction, but I believe Kings is moving in the right direction and is aiming at correcting this as much as possible.  If you are hard-working, positive, and a team player you will do just fine working for this company.

Worked for Kings for a number of years, seen lots of things most good. I realize people have one opinion or another, good or bad I just want to be fair. Kings has been great, it does need to work on a few things along with every other company. Over the past couple years things have improved a lot, communication is getting better (still needs work) and more support and training would be appreciated, the direction/vision is clear although sometimes difficult to realize in a hard economy, most of all culture is changing, and people who have difficulty with the change tend not to stay. Wish I still worked there really enjoyed the people.

Kings Energy Services is an amazing place to work! The leadership team is wonderful, they are helpful, patient, and just overall outstanding to work for. They actively encourage individuals to progressively grow and improve themselves.  
Working for Kings Energy Services has been one of the most rewarding career opportunities I have ever been given. The culture and environment of the workplace is friendly and cooperative.  

Cons:
There’s a huge lack of communication, from head office to the different branches. They speak very highly of there core values, however they aren’t followed through. You can work long hours for the company, with no appreciation. Everything is virtual over the computer, with no in person training or support. No clear direction, lots of “figure it out”
Pros:
Branch manager, foreman and team were some of the best people you could work with. They all worked as a team to deal with the chaotic mess that gets delivered from head office. Hours and schedule were good. 

I enjoyed working for this company back in 2017 and after a year of maternity leave i am beyond proud and happy to be back at King's Energy Services. The employee's here are great, you can approach anyone for a conversation & feel comfortable about it. It doesn't take long for you to feel like a part of the team! Over the year i was away this place has grown, with new departments, new titles & a new core value to go by (T.A.C.T.) It was refreshing coming back to this & seeing the growth within the company.

I worked as Technician before in a college and it was good, but the way how kings treat people is incomparable to my previous work. when I work here at Kings, Our department manager is great and most of the people are approachable. I can't compare it with my previous work environment.

This is a work place that I want to spend years of my service.

Good coworkers. It used to be a fun place to work. But management is killing it. Some exceptions. But managers who are not accountable. Taking credit for others work. Holding grudges, bullying people. Punishing good people instead of training or helping. Calling people at home when drinking. They seem happy to get rid of good people. Then workers try to hold it all together.

My time with the organization was challenging and fast paced but enjoyable.  Customer 1st attitude always.  Management was accommodating and always willing to mentor.  Workplace culture is healthy and the direction of the organization is becoming much more focused.  Overall very good experience
