Over the past 2.5 years at Kinross I have seen a lot of change and yet the excitement, joy and team culture remains. I believe this is because we are a team of high performers who always strive for the best, to make things work properly and achieve our end goals.
Kinross is fun, challenging, never a dull moment, full of good people, management is kind and caring in most cases, we have a hybrid work setup which makes for wonderful work/life balance. The company overall works really hard at community engagement and respect, sustainability and environmental responsibility. 
Kinross pays well, not only in term of the salary, but the yearly bonuses and various benefits from an amazing health plan to an Employee Assistance Program that helps with everything from mental health to debt relief. 
I have worked with many mining companies and I can see with no doubt Kinross is the best employer I have had the honour to work with. 

Productive and demanding work environment, but life balanced and with supportive Management. Some of the "perks" include gym (with showers and lockers) on company's premises, reserved for Kinross employees only. 
Kinross is a company at which one can expand his/her knowledge and connect to or befriend some great and interesting people.

Do not be fooled by this Company’s charade. Highly toxic culture and management. Great Bear site was the worst career experience I have ever had. The culture is rampant with favouritism and politics, empty promises, and bullying. Don’t let the pay and benefits package lure you in, no amount of money is worth what you will experience. Unless you are a friend or relative of site management in which case you will likely get promoted. 

Stable company with very bright executives. Poor culture in that HR discriminates - there's an "us" and "them" mentality and HR encourages this. Old practices, staff are disposable. Excellent work life balance. Poor IT supports and equipment to work with, lack of processes and practices. Could be improved.

I'm enjoying to work at Kinross Toronto office, it's very challenging and diverse environment with the good management and strong,  people oriented enterprise culture.

The job was good, with plenty of exposure to new software and challenges.  I essentially worked as an internal consultant.  This was to save the company money.  Thus although the company was good the overall object was to save money at the employees expense.  It was a buyers market and Kinross used the market to their own advantage.

Coworkers were great, a typical day would be from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm at night, always needed to be responding to e-mail, weekends included.  Managers were very much micro-managing.  Always seemed to be responding to urgent requests vs. what is really important to the business.

A typical day at work depends on the day of the week for instance Mondays and Fridays are the busiest days for us in the mailroom. I send out the mail to different mines and offices. through out the week i take care of the mailroom as well as admin jobs around the office.

Good compensation package and salary.  Good opportunities to work abroad (good and bad) but this makes life/work balance a little difficult.  Job culture needs improvement.

Working for Kinross I felt that I belong to a great team of professionals from all over the world. The company takes care of its employees providing excellent work conditions and ensuring a safe, injury-free environment.
