Knoxvilles Tavern

Knoxville's Tavern in Calgary is a very upbeat and fun night club that provides great service and entertainment for the general 18+ population.
My work experience here was during the Calgary Stampede where Knoxville's sets up a large tent with numerous bars, and a full size stage. I worked within the private catering company tent and VIP food service area. I took food and served food orders, organized cash and tickets, assisted in the set up and take down of buffet tables, kept the fridges well stocked along with keeping the work area safe and clean.
The number of customers was phenomenal and the Knoxville's management provided any assistance and hospitality within their workplace as necessary.

Management is not honest with the staff. Have been proven to steal tips from bartenders upon cash out. 
Club itself is decent, they do not keep up with cleaning the way a environment like that should be. 
Treats their staff horribly, do not get paid for doing promo. basically just volunteering our time. 
High turn over so not a lot of room to improve with inexperienced bartenders all the time. 
On an average night, bartenders will wait till 5 am to get through cash out.

The management is very well put together and everyone works well together. They can be a little misleading at times about what they want and the training could use a little work as I was not really told what to do just thrown into work.

From Ownership down, the staff are the greatest asset of this company. The sheer volume of product that is cycled through every week is mind-boggling.  Tracking it takes a particular skill set that I have.

Knoxville tavern was one of a great experience I have. learning to be part of a team and leading the team is one of my traits so it was a very amazing job

the management sucked, they shorted me on my paychecks, and they were really unorganized with scheduling shifts...…………………………………………………………………………………………..

The management doesn't care about the employees. It's a busy place and even doing great sales I walked out  many nights with no tips. Good music and nice events.

It was a fun workplace, with late shifts. It was pretty laidback but overall an enjoyable work environment with friendly staff and patrons. The management was very personable and pleasant.

Knoxville’s was one of the most enjoyable places I’ve worked. The laidback and fun atmosphere were absolutely wonderful. I definitely do not regret working there. 

Fast paced enviroment.customer service, dealing with Large amounts of cash and high volumes of customers. High stress enviroment, where multi tasking is a must
