When I was in Customer Service, I worked for the Kodak Processing Lab.  I dealt with customers over lost orders, questions on film, cameras, chemicals for developing, digital information, etc.  I also worked for the Lab Manager and the Administrative Supervisor as Administrative Assistant, handling computer records, correspondence, filing, arranging travel, accommodations, booking events,organizing yearly vacation scheduling for the full processing lab - 100-120 employees.
Good co-workers. I learned much about photography - on the job, training courses in photography and training at Eastman Kodak, Rochester, NY. 
Hardest Points: 40-60 calls per day not knowing if someone had a question or was going to scream at you for a problem.
Best part of the job was co-workers were enjoyable.  Also the pay was great with timely raises every year, and a bonus every year based on Kodak Stock.

I saw none of flexible work-life balance myself. 

Stagnant for salaries and job growth.

Periods of intense work over-load.

Little remains of the once great CREO culture.  Lots of passing the buck, avoidance, delay; seems largely because of forced cut-backs and under-staffed situation going on for many years now.

Processes for electronics havent been kept updated and the PLM/ERP is split across multiple systems.  Hard to find critical info needed anywhere, or anyone with positive/flexible attitudes to help in on-boarding or training.

Seems to be getting better slowly, and seems to have a stable future.

Kodak cared about their people. Management made sure that we had all the tools needed to do a great job. They were very professional and always encourage their employees to be the best they can be. The most enjoyable part of the job was that everyone worked together no matter the situation, Kodak was all about team work. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the downsizing and the outsourcing.
Working for Kodak was a blessing . I can't forget my 10 years with the company as I’ve learned so much from them. It was by far the best company I worked for . To this day, I can only say good things about Kodak and i truly wish them all the best in the years to come. Go Kodak you can make it!

The work environment is nice, people are generally very friendly and supportive, lots of opportunities to learn. Middle management tries their best, but all the real decision making is done higher up, there is limited control locally over wages. You are told that wages are market rate or a little better, this might have been true decades ago but is no longer the case, the pay is not great. There are perks that make up for the poor pay though, like most people are able to work on flex time, there is no such thing as being late for work.

I would come in, say hi to my co-workers, set up my laptop, sign in to all my applications and programs. I learned different hardware products applications and protocols.
management was great and co-workers are easy to get along with.
job was not hard or difficult but new challenges would come up regarding different departments and it was exciting learning new things. every friday was company lunch and it was great to sit down with the staff and eat and converse.

I like working there its fun and people appreciate. I have worked in different sections of the company getting lot,s of opportunity to work and learn the more I know for me, and can also help the company if they need backup for other sections if some one is sick or in vacation I can back them up.
The reason I am looking for another job is, I am looking for mechanical position, and I like to work in more mechanical then electrical, I missed working with tools etc....

I spent moist of my career with Kodak Canada and developed to a Technical Associate. Koday had a strong employee training focus and good benefit system.

Unfortunately, with the advent of digital photography, traditional photography lost is appeal and Kodak Canada was shut down with any remaining productionj transferred to Mexico and Colorado sites.

Scheduling was a bit of a challenge but lab managers were very cooperative
Repaired photo lab machines and trained lab employees on how to use and maintain their labs

I enjoyed every minute there.  It was a inbound call center and I was a CSR.  I learned there that it's not the job that make you happy, it's the people who surround you.  And it was.  Decorating co-workers cubicle for their birthdays, having pot-luck lunches, bowling nights, BBQs, Christmas lunches and more. Sometimes I felt like some of them were family. I really do miss it there.

Kodak gave me the opportunity to learn about so many different things as well as I was able to complete my Industrial Millwright apprenticeship while working full time.  The culture and workplace was amazing and it is very unfortunate that they had to close their Canadian operations.  It felt like working as one big family.
