Since I do freelance/contract work, I believe in doing a great job as I am representing myself as well as Korn Ferry. Therefore, a typical day at Korn Ferry is making sure my work is done, accurate and on time! 

My co-workers / managers are amazing people to work with! We work well as a team and pull together if anyone needs help.  
Working at Korn Ferry for this long has improved my executive administration skills immensely and has given me the experience in interacting with our clients in a professional manner.  Using  common sense in dealing with unexpected issues that arise was also a great way to learn how to make quick and efficient decisions.
 
Korn Ferry has always included me in all their employee events, therefore I have always felt like a part of their team.  It makes my work that more enjoyable!  

And although I have been with Korn Ferry for 12 ½ years and enjoyed the experience, the people I have met and everything I have learned, I feel I am ready for a new challenge and change.

This has got to be one of the worst companies I have ever worked for.  The lack of integrity is astonishing year in, year out.  They say things to keep employees quiet, but they have no intention of ever meeting these commitments.

We are in the business of coaching companies on how to attract and retain top talent, however we do not practice what we preach.  The benefits are mediocre, the merit increases are practically non-existent and bonuses are pathetic.  If we were a client, we would be strongly cautioned that we are in danger of losing our best talent!

There is no professional development available.  If I want training from Korn Ferry, I sign up for courses offered to our clients since we don't offer them to our employees.

Remote working and nothing less much 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poor leadership it’s a revolving circus with people being laid off every 1.5-2 years and new teams and always understaffed 
Leaders are scared and highly political
Dog eat dog culture 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Dog eat dog culture , no standards 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There is no typical day, it’s a mess of systems not working clients always angry about systems sold are not working and leadership and managers are sleep at the wheel

Company consistently says one thing but does something entirely different.  Culture is poor, 0 work/life balance, the internal shop is run wildly differently than we advise clients to run their shops.  Very centralized decision making based on 1970s mgmt methods.  Leaders don't lead.  Poor leadership behaviour is actually consistently rewarded.  The company actually reassured everyone things would be fine in COVID, then terminated 4000 people 2 weeks later, all while tweeting out the importance of leaders showing empathy during difficult times, then of course 60 days later announced all time record high revenues, profits, and cash position

Meets client needs with off the shelf approaches.  No original thinking based on unique client needs.  Client management is based on who can sell the most not who has the knowledge/ experience most aligned to client needs.  Salaries are below market and achieving goals is not aligned to receiving a bonus.  Company is a a popularity contest.  No professionalism, no respect encouraged

In this position I was given the opportunity to learn and grow in different areas of the business. I was associated with a great team of individuals who were client and result driven but never lost sight of its employees; ensuring all our needs were met / balanced. I would recommend Futurestep to anyone interested in the executive recruitment business.

-	Created a report based on market research that KFHG would use in their future strategy and will assist in creating a new business unit that would work on these newly identified market segments and portfolio of identified targets. This report enhances the company’s business intelligence and my contribution saved approximately 400 hours of market research consultant work fees

Learned a great deal about recruitment process and talent assessment.  Enjoyed being given challenges from day one and autonomy on projects.  Workplace culture emphasis on excellence, with zero tolerance if mistakes occured.

Overall very nice folks to work with but the lack of internal career progression options will eventually force you to look for other career options elsewhere.

Korn Ferry is truely a fully integrated HR consulting firm providing clients with extensive consultation for their Talent and people practices. Having worked at Korn Ferry has truly been a great learning experience. Enjoyed the quality of work and the team in particular.
