A Typical day at work would start with reading my emails. Some days there are a lot (especially after you come back from vacation)
I deal with trade deductions for all the brands that Kraft owns.
I enter trade payments (deductions) into our trade management system. I have to ensure everything in a paymnet package complies with trade spending policy. There are specifics that need to be attached like the customer deduction, etc.
I track all my work on a spreadsheet containing all outstanding AR that must be cleared.
I work with Category Managers, and Deduction Specialists to ensure deductions are received and processed in a timely fashion.
I work in a team with other TFC's who are in charge of specific customers.
The hardest part of the job is keeping up with the volume of payments that come to me. It's not just Kraft products, but also Christie cookies and crackers and Cadbury. The last two will soon split into their own seperate company. Hopefully, after that it should be a little easier to manage. This will happen later this year.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the people I work with. Kraft is full of very smart, quick thinking and kind individuals who all work just as hard as I do.
There is a lot of blood sweat and tears. I would rather work for a company like Kraft, whose products are loved all over North America, where there is a sense of pride in what we do, than for a company where I didn't stand behind what they sold.

I worked in this company before the Mondalez spin off. At the time the location was at Matheson Blvd. The group including the team leader I worked with was a great group and worked as a team. Most the time I have seen each department team lead would get together for a morning briefing before the beginning of the work. The workspace and even small separate meeting rooms were available attractive. 

Well, after the spin off Kraft Canada was moved to Don Mills and Mondalez ended up being opposite to the runway near 401 East bound. After my short tenure with the company I heard Mondalez moved from there as well. I am not sure about its current status at both Kraft and Mondalez

Overall it was a good experience.

Kraft Foods is overall a great company to work for. They are always striving to improve products, customer service and create a dynamic, supportive work enviroment..

Good balance between time out in the field in the retail stores and doing admin work from home office.

Really enjoy the flexibilty with my work schedule. Put in long hours but I can choose when I put them in.

As Kraft has now merged with Heinz under 3G and Berkshire Hathaway, it is difficult to say what working there will be like for the persons who where retained after layoffs.  As for Kraft Food Canada, it was an incredible place to work - smart, dedicated people who loved what they did and were rewarded with decent pay and work-life balance...I can only hope that this will be case for those who remain at KraftHeinz.

Set-up computerized machines for product runs, operated various machines to perform packaging functions. 
  Learned to perform quality inspection tests using various tools to test properties of product samples to meet quality standards.
  Supported technicians through maintenance and cleanup of work areas was enjoyable.
  Machine breakdown was the hardest part of the job.
  Management was very supportive and taking appropriate measures to improve things.

I was able to multi-task on many tasks at the same time. The manager who I answered to never micro-managed and was rewarded with above his expectations in results.
Hardest part of job was figuring out the hierarchy of management. Most enjoyable was the interaction of co-workers.

Learned that more work was done at lunch and breaks then on regular hrs.

It was a great challenge and learned so much from so many levels of employees.

This  was an environment that was fast paced but after the work was done the hours could be great or very bad. There was not consitant hours.
you were allowed a 30 minute lunch break but it took 9 minutes to get to the lunch room. That allowed only 22 minutes for lunch. The breaks were 15 minutes but the time you went there and came back there was not enough time to have a break

Prior to 3G Capital's takeover of Kraft, it was a dream to work there. Loaded with smart people, and flooded with nice people. A few of those people are left, but the culture is forever changed...for the worse unfortunately.

maybe the fast pace for typical of food manufacturing industry is the biggest challenge for me.

the most enjoyable part for the job is that we have chance to eat various kinds of cookies.

As a food supplier, internal procedures must ensure high quality products and in so doing lean towards ensuring quality products as apposed to quality distribution.
