On my first day at the job, I was warned by several employees that management is distant and very manipulative. This proved to be very true. 

I worked at Krown for 7 months and over those 7 months, many employees came and went. The staff turnover at the warehouse is something to be shocked by. A running joke amongst many workers is that there’s no point learning a new hires name because they won’t be there long enough for it to matter. This, again, is very true. 

The pay at Krown is definitely fair, but that’s where the fairness stops. Preferential treatment for some staff is flaunted. I was told by one ‘management’ member that the reason certain staff aren’t disciplined like others is because those specific staff are willing to divulge what goes on in the warehouse; in other words, they run to management and tell on everyone else. The mules, in this case, are definitely treated to a long list of advantages over everyone else, regardless of work ethic. 

The morale at Krown is also something to be surprised by. Nearly every staff member actively searches for new jobs, and after spending some time there, you’ll understand why. Certain staff members are completely horrible to work with. In Quality Control, there’s a specific worker who believes that screaming and yelling, while adding demeaning comments and poking fun at others capabilities is the best way to motivate. In Shipping, there’s a specific supervisor who treats everyone like their personal bank. A fair warning would be to never give him any money, not even once, or you’ll forever be trying to dodge his requests for another loan. 

If you want to work at Krown, I would make sure you’ve exhausted every other resource before applying. It’s a warehouse driven by low morale and extremely bad management.

Let's be honest here management are bullys they will sit there and lie to your face make you out to be the bad person and they will never think they are the issue but in all reality they are the biggest issue with krown they cant manage what so ever.

My grandmother passed away and had management come up to me to tell me o dont worry your fully coverd for 3 days and what do you know this guy forgot to file the paper work I was never wanting to be paid but when someone comes up to you and says your coverd get make sure it's done right 

Recently a supervisor had it with there bull and ended up comming over to my house after they had quite and was telling me how management were targeting me and other employees and how he just had it.

There is 2 good supervisor left at krown they were amazing to work with the other supervisor has a higher power issue where he will bully you and othet will lie to your face and to others and will never do what's right

There is a couple good employees left you will know if you work in this dumb place 

Krown is so stuck in the 80s and the system they tried to put in is just as old 

Management hope you both take a nice hard look at your self's and try and change because not even your kids will wanna look at you when they get older.

They will never hire you mon-Friday management and sales are the only ones who get that 

During the busy season you wont get a holiday they might give you a random day and they will tell you they dont have to give you a day off 

They will attack you if they think your wrong and think they know best in all situations.

Do your self a favor and just apply else where.

Its hard to describe what it feels like to work here. The atmosphere and the personality that people bring is what has me here almost six years down the road. It's nice because its multicultural so you learn about the many facets of people's lives and what they eat.

Overall, our warehouse is very tidy and organized. Primarily, because its a food storage supply warehouse and also, because we can find things quite easily. Our equipment fleet is regularly upkept so you never have to worry about not having the proper equipment for the right job. Our supervisor team is the friendliest to work with. If you have any concerns, they are very 'quick' and 'eager' to aid you in the proper direction. Our operation management team knows every intricate detail about what is happening in the facility and our ops-manager is super cool!

Overall, I welcome anyone to come on board try for themselves!
Perhaps they will see it my way!

Perspective is a beautiful thing.

Hands down the worst place I have ever worked in my entire career. If you are thinking of working there, do yourself a favor and just don't. It's an extremely toxic work environment. Behaviors/attributes that the working culture encourages/nurtures there include: antagonism, vindictiveness, divisiveness, and discord. Bullying and intimidation are also perfectly acceptable forms of behavior as well. Truth is not a virtue that is held in high regard. What makes it worse is that management truly believes that a healthy team environment exists, when in fact the opposite is true. So nothing will ever be done to change the working environment there. If you absolutely must go work there, save/archive e-mails, take notes on conversations/meetings (i.e. dates, times, who was there, what was said), and otherwise be on high alert at all times. You will absolutely need the information that you recorded at some point down the road in the future. Trust me!

A typical day would consist of clocking in a 7am, getting to work right away, stickering countless and never ending boxes and trays to hold product.  Shortly after an hour or so of that, we would change areas and head on over to the grading line, where our team of girls would begin to grade and select the best from thousands of pounds of tomatoes(whom myself and another person would be in charge of loading and unloading)
Through out the day, my tasks would include stickering, loading tomatoes onto the grading line, driving the forklift into anyone of the multiple coolers to grab new pallets of tomatoes or whatever the girls might be grading, keeping the coolers organized, clean and congestion free.  I would also on a daily basis, go into the shipping and receiving area and help out with orders as they would come in.  Over all krown produce was the best job Ive ever worked at.

This is definitely a fast-paced place to work but I don't see that as a bad thing. You will keep busy but the boss is fair about what he expects you to get done. I don't ever need to worry about whether or not I'll get a full week's worth of hours.

There have certainly been issues in the past but the management team is actively making an effort to improve in these areas. Very recently a member of the team has been promoted into a training role to ensure every new employee gets the proper training needed - which goes hand in hand with a newly developed training manual so you don't come in being confused or unsure of what you need to do.

Fun atmosphere to work in - the employees and coworkers are some of the best parts of the job. Ultimately you'll have your good days and your bad days like any place you work but I find that the good and great days far outweigh the bad days.

I'd punch in 1st thing in the morning at 6:50am to start working. I'd start my job by grabbing a forklift or pallet jack and pulling whatever produce we needed at that time, on to the line to be graded. When I 1st started working with Krown I had no idea what to do but after the time I put into it I came out knowing almost everything about it with the plus of getting certified on forklifts and pallet jacks. My favorite days would have to be where I didn't have to stop for anything just a day of constant working and moving. The hardest part of the job would have to be when I had nothing to do except watch the Ladies grade produce, Because standing around isn't something I like to do. The Management and co-coworkers were great ,very friendly and talkative

Overall Krown is not a terrible place to be. Your coworkers will end up being like family, everybody is working together to get the job done. The main supervisor you'll report to most of the time is awesome, always with a great attitude and he will work with you if you ever need ANYTHING, he really makes you feel like you're part of the bigger family. 

Management is fairly distant but I get that they have their own things going on. Just it would be nice if you got to talk with them more often than just when they are telling you about a mistake you made.

Listen to what people say about a certain supervisor borrowing money. You will figure out who it is right away. I lent him some money in October 2019 and am still trying to get it paid back, always being told 'next week'. Have pretty much given up on it as a lesson learned, I think most people do.

Been working at krownfor more then a year.Even though the job can be physically demanding &at time challenenging .At the end of the day you are left feeling satisfied you have put in a good days work.The bonus food helps with the satisfied feeling.The work atmesphere is usally pleasent@fellow employees are easy to get along with  and work with.The supervisors are usually pleasant@quick to answer any questions and offer guidance whenever possiable.The company follows all co -vid protocal @guidelines.We have been getting good hours even though the pandemic has forced others from there jobs.As well as the employees getting 40 or more hours per week.@Ocasionally free food@produce the company has made sure all employees have acceess to all essential worker bonuses.

I worked there for just a week. Most of the people in Calgary branch are Vietnamese and they are very hard to understand but they are great workers/graders. Team leaders are great, supervisors are not. They do not have proper training modules for newbies. They will boss you around. A lot of people left coz of lack of benefits. The quality control person is so loud, conceited and most of the time angry at people just because they did not do things acvording to his instructions. They have no system in place on how and where to put stuff except for tomatoes, bananas, abocadoes and citrus. They have scanners in the office but just for display. Everything is manual. Old machines, forklifts, etc...
