•	Managed 2  Sales Managers and  6 Operation Managers in their sales efforts while fostering an environment for continuous improvement; mentored several junior personnel into middle management positions
•	Advised sales and operations staff at sister tank companies including Laidlaw, Glen Tay and Archer along with other Contrans companies to build a collaborative approach to increase penetration of Contrans  services to existing clientele
•	Collaborated with sales, operations and accounting staff to prepare and present  budgets for sales projections based on variable and fixed costs/expenses  to determine impact on the EBIT Line
•	Prepared pricing and presentation for new and current opportunities through RFQ, RFP, On Line and contract extensions
•	Reviewed and signed off on all customer contracts often seeking legal review in order to legally bind the Corporation
•	Participated in and contributed to all weekly operational meetings to discuss, review and revise financial and operation strategies
•	Examine yearly projections for performance, growth and monthly projections to determine volumes, revenue, profits and service levels

Showed me the world of financial consulting while being in the heart of the industry. I sat in on meetings, made phone calls, and listened in on sales calls. I also ran errands for the office, and did typical intern duties. I learned the hard work needed to succeed in the industry, the research needed to be able to convince not only yourself of your decisions but also your clients. Starting out in the industry the hours are tough, but if you grind through the early stages you can make big. The atmosphere in the office was definitely the most enjoyable as we worked as a team and everyone helped everyone out.

During my time as a bus driver I didn't have a lot of interaction with many adults that were also employed at Laidlaw. Although I did like all the other drivers, and found the office staff to be very professional. 
My day would start at 6:30 at which point I would check (circle check) my bus to ensure its safety. I would drive a regular route picking up students and delivering them to and from school. I also preformed charters for schools, and private companies.
The best part of this job was the fact that it allowed me the time to be home for my young children.

The management is garbage, unless its on there basis.  Any concerns you get yup yup yup okay gotta go call you back.  
The money is beyond amazing. But its hit or miss.    One pay your bringing home 2700 net.  And next week theres no work.  For such a big company, if you truck brakes down you have to drive halfway across Ontario or Quebec to get a spair.  Was asked if i could find a ride once.  Absolutely a terrible company.

Responsible for the safe operation of the school bus while transporting student to school. Ensured the bus was maintained in good operating condition, including safety checks daily. Maintained order and security of the students while obeying all HTA laws and regulations.

A fun job, and most children were very well behaved. The charters were fun too. I love driving, excepting rush hours.

This job is great new equipment work all year round people are friendly and fun to be around they dispatch you every night so you know what you are doing the next day and they leave you alone.

Everyone in this company treated us drivers as professionals. Great equipment and great driver appreciation. I miss working there. It was just too far to comute.

The job was flexible with having a young child and paid well for the hours worked. Enjoyed working with all types of children. Left summers open and days free.

It was a great place to work in the beginning home every weekend pay was good as long as you stayed on the good side of the dispatcher
When management tried dispatching it was a horrible site.
