LAZY ONE

This was seriously the best company I've ever worked for. The job was simple, sell pajamas. Everyone who came into the store was looking to buy what you were selling so it made that part of the job a breeze. Life was great there. They play good music, have well made products and treat you well.

It helped that I had the best and most fun manager out there. She made training simple, worked around all of our schedules, and gave us as many hours as she could. She made the job as good as it could get. 

There were so many benefits to working at this store that it weighed out some of the longer days that seemed to drag on. Sometimes there weren't a lot of customers but honestly it didn't matter. I brought a book and just waited it out. 

Head office was so helpful and made sure anyone with a complaint was treated with respect and helped to their best ability. I admire them greatly for that. Our district manager couldn't have been a funnier, smarter, well-rounded person if she tried. Truly a wonderful lady.

Thank you Lazy One for such an amazing opportunity, and maybe I can get my job back this upcoming season? :)

When it is not crazy busy during Christmas time we are generally a bit slow. During the down time we tidy the store and keep the clothes looking fresh by steaming throughout the week. The biggest downfall of this job is the hours. As we move into January hours slide down quickly which also means being left alone in the store for 4+ hours, which is just a bit difficult because we do not have our own bathroom. The people I work with are great and I am always excited to come back in when I am not working much to catch up. The customers are also great, we do not get a lot of upset customers in our store since there are so many funny and cute things to look at, our customers are usually shopping for gifts so we do our best to fit their needs and help them pick out the perfect design and size for their loved ones as well as themselves. However, when customers are upset I ensure it is handled in the best way possible to keep my customer happy and to ensure they stay a customer of ours.

a day at work would be
 showing up on time to open store
 open the registar
count opening cash
do daily log for cash
work independably
restock any inventory that needs to go out 
take inventory when it comes in, 
help with inventory that has to go to clearance
mark and tag inventory
work with other employees as a team to get all work done, 
the most enjoyable part is learning some thing new everyday
im also willing to pick up a shift when a employee cant make it in to work.

A typical day included helping customers with sizing, and informing them on active deals, and sales. It was my first retail job so I learned how to act with everyone in a professional environment. I also learned how vital communication is in these environments. I was close to most of my co-workers, and had no issues with any of them. There was no aspect that stood out to me as the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part was being able to interact with others.

Management is a bomb and always fun to be around, they know how to be friendly and support and encourage you to do your best but also be strict enough so you still do your job properly. They give you a lot of freedom on the job so long as you maintain your productivity!

To be honest the only reason why I enjoyed working there was because my manager was super chill and understanding. She was super sweet and she genuinely understands the struggles of retail. Other than that the place was VERY disorganized.

I learned how to use cash on my own and open/close the store location. I did stock and steamed all clothing on a daily basis. I didn't get enough hours there but I learned everything I needed to learn.

My few weeks at Lazy one were very productive and very good. I learnt how to run the store by myself and when the store shut down, which it does every year, i was one of the people who help pack it up. Over all it was very eye opening. Everyone cooperated and worked together happily.

everyone who worked at my store was fantastic but one lady came from HR and made us all feel bullied and she said she had someone from another store in our mall spying on us.

Literally, the only good thing about working for this company is that you get to wear pajamas to work.  They overwork you and expect you to move mountains for minimum wage.
