Growing company , supply and demand dictates work schedules. No pros in this company such as no raise, no appreciation, be ready to be used and abused. Why one star is just because their medical and dental Benefits are half decent. You will find few good people otherwise it’s a revolving door. If you entering into oil and gas industry it’s a good start to gain bit of experience and get out. Otherwise I suggest to please don’t waste your precious time of your life with this place. This place will get you no where other than just a pay check. You are there until you are needed and will be let go when they feel you are no longer required. Please be ready to invest from your own pocket in helping this company grow without any appreciation. Such as use of your personal phone for companies business purpose.

If you are looking for an 8 to 4:30 position where everything is defined for you, this generally is not a great fit. 

If you have a service mindset, crave winning as a team and know that can lead to challenges and requires growth this is a great company. 

You get exposure to international opportunities, work closely with operations and manufacturing and have a good sized team of professionals who are supportive and operate with focus and use clarity to achieve the mission.



   I was an operator in the rod manufacturing plant here in Edmonton for 3.5 years. 
   I was always treated well and have gained a lot of experience like welding and power tools also a good job to keep you fit.
    I never had an issue with management, maybe because I’ve always strived to be a low maintenance employee.
    Like most companies they have a fairly high turn over but much of that is the up and downs of the industry. Shift structure in the rod plant is pretty erratic but again it’s driven by the industry.
   All things considered I would recommend to work at LSI , I know they want to make things better and they will.
  

Great group of people in hourly and salaried positions, very supportive.  It is a fast growing company which creates challenges and opportunities. For people that like being busy, problem solving and getting opportunities to expand it's a great place.  Pays fairly (sure we'd all like more, but it's fair) and is safety focused. People that struggle with accountability leave given the growth focused culture. Management seems to work hard at improving communication, yes it could be better but at least they are working on it which is better than many. 

Stay away… horrible schedule, will be given title but compensation doesn’t match job title. If working outside be ready share winter gear with your fellow workers. Please do not participate in company bonus programs such as referrals. This company owes present and former employees their bonus. When you try to get in touch with HR. They forward the call to answering machine and never return call. So basically you are there to get ripped off. This place is revolving door for a reason. It’s a growing company but not for employees. 

I simply cannot express how much I like this company! Employees are friendly and my supervisors are fair, understanding and they trust me. I have autonomy to create and improve processes and I have their support whenever I need. The company promotes internally if you perform, and you have job stability here.
I am also very proud of the Leadership Team, they know what they are doing. 

During my time there, I loved working there until the end when I was treated like a number. Management was good at being wolves in sheep’s clothing. If you weren’t one of “them” then u didn’t matter. They either liked you or not no in between. They liked to under pay you then over work you. Then ask you why it was taking so long to do certain tasks. You had to fight for a raise, which was a small amount.   Many years later and I taste in my mouthstill have a bitter taste

There are some great people who still work there, but they are stressed out and underpaid. There is very little flexibility, Lifting Solutions is in the dark ages. I don't understand why some of these people stay when there are so many jobs out there. Some of the SLT are freindly and engage with the employees, check-in to see how you are, but the CEO isn't very friendly or approachable, he is akward and doesn't seem like he is comfortable talking to the employees.

This companies outstanding focus will lead it to become a key market force in the  artificial lift market, best of all it is a Canadian company with its roots right here in Alberta. Their safety culture is something that all companies should strive for.

Hands down a great company that has amazing people working in all ranks. I am always humbled by the people i encounter and get exposed to. Being exposed to so many great folks who support one another only motivates me more.
