LIQUOR STORE

I loved working with the Liquor Store. But coming from a corporate background I noticed a huge difference in the way managers are trained and how they coach. But my overall experience was awesome! I was hired over the phone for Part-Time Evening Store Clerk in August of 2014. After two weeks I was offered Full-Time, within my 8 months with the company I used my years of diverse experience to keep wheels turning during a strong staff turn over.

A typical day at work means working heard,getting what needs to be done andfollowing  instructions. I am always in the mist of learning new,old or relearning.The hardest of a job is not getting the support from your co-workers or always feeling alone which you shouldn't be.The most enjoyable part of a job is always having a great support system like your staff and bonding not only at work but out as well.

I enjoyed working with the staff as well as the customers very much,
it was a friendly environment to work in.
Although I was not given the opportunity to advance, I sure wish I had been.
The company was respectful of its employees.

-taking apart old buildings, as well as cleaning out flooded basements
-how to be safe in a hazardous workplace
-management is very good and caring when it comes to safety
-co-workers are also very cautious and caring about each other's safety
-hardest part of the job is the heat when wearing protective clothing
-the most enjoyable part is helping people who had been affected by the floods

Working here will teach you valuable customer service skills. This was my first retail job and I can honestly say that the customer service skills i learned here will be invaluable to any job i have in the future that involves customers

It was fun to work there at first but then the life style catches up to you and became hectic. I am a very organized person who goes to sleep early and wakes up early which made it difficult to keep working there. The coworker were great to be around.

Exciting to deal with a wide variety of customers and match their beverage choices. Excellent environment for expanding product knowledge of wines, beers and spirits

Loved being a manager and would do it again but with a different owner. Loved the customers and being able to be a part of our communtiy. Had it's down falls as the owner had trouble letting me do my job she paid me to do. But would love to do it again.

The management of store is very punctual. I learnt many things such as purchasing and selling materials, store handling, cash handling and main thing that I never forgot is that providing customers satisfaction services.

Stocked shelves cashier duties. Heavy lifting, great people to work with, fast paced enviroment. Hardest part was heavy lifting best part was the people i got to work with and the regular customers that would come in.
