This is the worst company I've ever worked for.

I worked hard and cared about doing well at my newly-opened location. I wish I wasn't so optimistic - the reality was, this was only a temporary gig with an untrustworthy employer.

A few months after our opening, the company introduced me to a new team member; I worked with her and welcomed her to the team, and in the afternoon, they fired me - just like they did to a former colleague weeks prior. I've never heard of a workplace where one works with their replacement and is fired hours later. I now realize this is probably the reason why, a week before, my hours were eliminated from the schedule. When I asked my manager about this, I received no answer. The company surely does not have the basic decency or etiquette to treat their employees with respect.

My location was in a department store, and there was no real training provided performing transactions on the department store's register. On one of my first shifts, I was expected to close the register on my own - since there was no other LXR employee around to help me, the department store's employees helped me out.

There was no orientation done regarding working in the department store itself. We asked our manager many times to set it up, but nothing happened. Where was shipping? How do we receive large boxes? We had no idea. At one point, I carried a box that contained a handbag shipment down the escalator. The department store's Health and Safety team called me out for not following safety protocols. Understood. But how would I have known? We weren't given proper orientation. I guess the company did not want to put us through it if they were going to let us go anyway.

The commission structure is measly, and the sales goals are unrealistic.

The items are overpriced. I deem many of the goods unworthy of their price point, considering their horrible condition.

I would rate this place a zero if I could.

Do not waste your time. Do not work here.

All supervisors are very approachable and always available to help.

The objectives of the company, of each department, and of each individual are clear, and everyone works hard towards the same goals.

The Company is growing fast, so I have learnt the importance of being organized, autonomous and pro-active.

It often happens that sudden tasks come up outside of the usual day-to-day routine, so its helpful to always be prepared for the unexpected!

LXRandCo offers a lot of fun and upbeat "outside the workplace" activities, to help keep up morale and to reinforce a strong team dynamic.

The company also offers fair salaries, medical benefits,a pension plan, and a great vacation policy, so all managers are very well compensated.

for a short time must of been the strangest experience ever.
The manager and the co worker in store were pleasant and nice. The business is slow and boring.
You are give about 30 different passwords to enter different things. They seem to always come up with a new way of doing things. When you do product knowledge you have to watch the weirdest video of the president and team member from the head office.
You receive about 5 emails a day about things that do not concern you.
The clients were the best part but the company is odd. They are not very stable.
Always come up with a new way of doing things. New rule , new wrapping method,new sales approach, new display. Get things right once and for all. I find they are not very professional in how they handle employees.
They are back stabbers not to be trusted.
They used me for holiday season then fired me right after and this was suppose to be long term as I left another job to work for them. 
Big mistake!

worked at the Queen street location. The team was welcoming and professional , not to mention knowledgeable and helpful. The manager was wonderful to work for. He does not micro-manage and gives you space to operate in your own style.  
I can not speak for other locations, but my experience at the Queen Street Hudson's bay location was memorable.

The regional manager will most likely give you your second interview, and will stop in to the store regularly. She is very personable and encouraging, which is refreshing.

The system in place at my location was was very advanced with full access to the store's and companies inventory. You are able to fully assist your clients in the most professional manner.

If you are considering a career with LXRandCo and have passion for luxury goods and customer service, I strongly recommend this company.

Worked here for a few months before the pandemic hit. Product is okay but on the expensive side for the quality of the items. Little to no help from district manager or higher ups. They pretend they like you but do not actually care about you they are just after the sales. Poor communication between store associates and managers. Hard to keep customers coming back because the products are generally difficult to sell because of price point and very limited selection. Buying from customers is also difficult because LXR is only willing to pay very little for new, great condition bags. No future at this place except if you suck up to the managers. Boring shifts, lots of time standing because store is usually dead. You are better off elsewhere that values you as an employee and a person, or start your own business if you’re into vintage bags.

Honestly the most deceiving and dishonest company I have ever worked for. They lie through their teeth about absolutely everything. The pay is garbage for how many things they made me do.

I was doing the job of the accountant, store manager, district manager and owner... all for $16/hr?

The management was horrific and never listened to ANY concerns... even thought 99% of the concerns were regarding their store. 

They didn’t care about their merchandise, their employees or their clients... so why would anyone working there care? 

Horrible place to work PERIOD. 

To add, your situated insides the Bay and are constantly micromanaged by people you DONT EVEN WORK FOR. Disgusting.

This company is beyond hypocritical- they ask you to do something - then reprimand you for doing it, because what they are asking are terrible ideas- and won't listen when voice your opinion.  The new upper management are complete bullies, they get a kick out of breaking you down, spent my time trying to protect the teams from feeling the bullying, the moment they met him- they all started quitting.... like a horse we get up only to be kicked down again. The HO team has literally no idea on what they are doing or how to run a company effectively. 

If you care for yourself you won't put yourself in such a position at a company that becomes detrimental to your own health.

As a really passionate of Fashion , working LXR CO was a dream for me.The job is fun. Nice place, good products, and brilliant concept.

But it's really hard to bring people store. Compagny is already  so sucessful online. But still a good pay for retail even more with comission.

Manager can't chose their associates. Upper management does. Sometimes it do cause some problems as it does on my team. Also take a note that team are really small.

The head of store is amazing, one of the best I ever had. But all the stores are located in Hudson Bay and the employees at my Bay was not nice. I almost make me quit my job, because of them. 

The new CEO killed the company by closing stores and transferring its employees to be Stein Mart employees which made the cross over very  confusing and uncomfortable for their managers and employees to run a successful business.  Stein Mart managers became very controlling of LXR  but had no clue on how to run a successful  luxury business.

Never ever work at this ungrateful company. You will never be good for the company. You’ll see double standards of the company and manipulative people. Please don’t waste your time!! If you don’t want to work in a negative environment then this is not for you. Your wages and work load would be opposite. Demands are never met no matter how much work you do you’ll always be demotivated. So please look for more bright opportunities rather than this place
