La Quinta Inns & Suites

La Quita Inn was the first place, that I worked in in Canada. I learnt many things, that I did not know in my country before. Somethings like working in a fast-paced, stressful space without having help and handle tow or more things by myself at the same time. I learnt Customer Service, ordering, delivering, preparing breakfast for many people, save food freshly, clean every place or every single container, sweeping, dusting, washing, mopping,garbage collecting, stocking, replacing and ... I started everyday at 5:30 in the morning and after one and half year I felt so tired and sleepless, that I decided to stop working there. The most enjoyable part of the job was the last moment before I left every day, because every where was clean, tidy, neat and ready for the coming day.

on a typical day at work my shift would start at 7 am and by then the food would already be out for customers. I would then stock my cart and prepare other areas that would make running around less hectic.

I learned much from working there such as patience, order/structure, the seriousness of preparation, customer care, and preparing order sheet for foods.

My co-workers were friendly and at times very helpful when my job became overbearig.

The hardest part of my job was working alone and having to tend to like 25-30 people at a time.

The most enjoyable part of my job was my work hours and the friends and relationships I built while working there.

The owner of the hotel was a waste of time and didn't care about any of the employees management just went along with it and ignored staff feelings and staff need never had equipment when needed and most of the time you got heck for not doing a job even though it wasn't your fault because there was no equipment provided wouldn't even suggest working at this location as the employer is really a dangerous person surprised this hotel is not closed down or even burn to the ground because it's such a dump even the garbage contractor refuses come here half the time because they don't even trust the place

This place should be shut down. Dead end job and dedicated staff work so hard and are so under paid and under appreciated for the terrible stuff they deal with and time and effort that go into each shift. Terrible management who are cheap and only care about money. Not willing to listen to staff and concerns. Staff exposed to very unpleasant people, bums, drugs, needles, crime, and MORE with no safety training or procedures, proper cleaning materials, equipment or security staff

This is the worst job ever the pay is minimum wage. Management is horrible and have zero experience. The owner doesn’t care about the staffs only care about the money, they don’t provide the right products or supplies for you to do your jobs but they expect the job to be done on time sometimes i have to provide my own gloves to clean , this hotel seems to get the worst guests. Don’t ever work here.

Thing 5 is a third party company that had a contract with La Quinta Inn and Suite which is from the US. Main office Dallas Texas. And they lost contract with La Quinta end of april 2015.
Was booking, cancelling hotel rooms and more.

Fun company to work for, Just did hotel bookings for them via thing5. Strong company values and a great appreciation of the Military

Except when you make a mistake. Manager can be very verbal when comes to words. Work can be stressful and you are not allow to make mistakes or have a bad review on you. Keep that in mind. Good place to learn. 

We were over worked and under paid, we would work 8-12 hour days, I worked for group and tour and we could not leave until everyone was done inputting their information.

it has a very nice atmosphere, has great view with wonderful restaurants around it's environment, great working relationship between manager and employees
