Labour work

I found that working with Samson Cree Nation in the capacity as a secretary, has no benefit for future reference or training. The employment goes by each political term and your position is not as binding and secure such as working within a municipality or city.  

I learned much about my culture, language and background, Samson has much knowledge and history yet to be learned and taught. 

I enjoyed working with the Elders and coordinating cultural camps. I also enjoyed doing tours with teaching cultural sensitivity with the provincial authorities ie. Court and rcmp personnel.

I worked as a labourer for Corner Brook Rebar, lugging steel, tie in steel a little but mostly just bringing the equipment and tools needed for the rebar men and cleaned up site afterwards, It was a steady pace job, lots of heavy lifting and lots of communication between us to make sure everyone had what they needed when they needed it and at a timely matter. I loved the work there its fast pace but exciting.

A typical day for myself at work, I go to the shop everyday so the boss could tell me what to do for that day. I learned how to use power equipment's, organize, safe work environment, work well with others.

I learned how to be disciplined and showed up to work no matter the day, Always prepared. And I learned how to be productive and achieve goals within a certain time frame.

In this field you learn many new skills, you get to know a lot about all different aspects of different trades. You never get bored or off task due to the amount of different jobs you do.

Normally get along with all my co-works. Normally enjoy a majority of the work, find that if I keep busy the better.

Waking up early in the morning around 6am to be at work for 7am. Contently on my feet getting work done in the most efficient manor to get the most product out to the customers.

Not good work place. Poor management. No respect. Promise you things and would not keep the promise. Therefore, I would not work here and very unsafe 

My main job was for Packaging Food Stuff.i used to  Lift up-to 60 Pounds to make skids of packed boxes.sometimes i had to do Sanitation for cleaning purpose.

Great work place with supportive management. Got along with everyone. Didn't enjoy doing the same thing each and every day.
