At Lactalis, survival often hinges less on merit and more on compliance with a toxic culture of blind agreement. Advancement often goes to those who flatter leadership rather than challenge the status quo. Integrity is quietly punished, while sycophancy is rewarded. Many stay silent to protect their jobs, knowing that voicing discomfort or offering truth means being labelled as “not a fit.” It becomes painfully clear that unless you constantly please the right people, your time is limited. This environment breeds distrust, silences innovation, and corrodes morale. For a company of its scale, the absence of accountability, transparency, and respect for employee voice is both shameful and unsustainable.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Decent pay. Customer interaction and relationships 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Extreme micromanagement.  No understanding of day to day for sales reps. 
Expecting you to be at first account at 8am even though the first account is 2 hours away.  Winter driving and safety concerns are an issue. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good.  Other sales reps are great. Lack of leadership from management.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Micromanaged by crm program.  Need to be at first account by 8 am and have to be at that account for min 1 hour.  Even if you are done what is necessary within 30 mins. Wasted time that could be better utilized at next account. Continues for all accounts seen

What is the best part of working at the company?
Products are good.  Many of the rank and file employees are very nice.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management is terrible.  So many top level managers who think highly of themselves but have no real skills.  Also many senior managers are bullys.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mediocre at best.  Some management are able to carry on with personal side businesses which creates animosity among rank and file employees

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work independently mostly and manage my business

Overall, the people were great. There were certain drama starters and some of those individuals never faced consequences for their behaviour which was discouraging. Especially when it’s your key operator. 
The pay and benefits are great, and the break structure too. 

This is the beginning in new country, A good place to learn and have good experience as you are involved in end to end process. Management is supportive.
