On farm, irregular hours.
I learned a lot about farms and quality control Most farmers are doing their best and it shows.
Lots of connections made between the farmers as it is a relatively small community. 
The hardest part of the job for me came down to the management and lack of trust. It can't be easy to trust all the employees but I feel that Lactanet could be better. 
Lactanet needs competition as it's very expensive for the farmers to use the services.

Split shift and scheduling is difficult 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Working in agricultural setting. Never having to go to the office 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early start. Home by noon. Leave again at 4 pm home at 8 pm. Flexible schedule. You can work Saturday and Sunday

I love being around livestock and in barns.  As a CSR/milk tester, it gave me a good living.  I worked independently and directly with producers.  Is a fast paced job with some troubleshooting aspects to it.  If there is a negative, it's the hours as you have to be at barns during milking for collecting milk.  It's not terrible, but is split shift.  Early morning and evening.  I liked it.  

Nice working with farmers but management sucked. Hours are all over the place depending on the farms' on your circuits milkings hours (Sometimes starting as early as 2am for morning milkings, sometimes leaving after midnight for night milkings).

Difficult if you work in the field because farmers are strange people. However the atmosphere is wonderful and everyone is very helpful and motivated to improve their sector.

Not great. The pay is ok but the work environment with upper management being useless. The Hr department are terrible, they never listen to our concerns. The only worth it for me was the people. Benefits were ok. Not great 

Management is amazing and really gets to know every employee and cares about them. The management team has been super awesome with COVID and keeping us protected while still on site. 

pretty flexible schedule, and people i work with are nice. management leaves something to be desired though, lots of confusion going on decisions being backtracked days later
