Lakeside Produce

Worked there as a supervisor for a while.  Upper management knows absolutely nothing about day to day operation other than to tell the supervisor to "make people go faster".  Typical family run business... owner thinks he knows everything but really just belittles everyone and bullies them into doing what he wants or people are fired.  Turnover is higher than any place I have ever seen in my 25 year career. 

Absolutely no safety measures in place.  Many emergency exits are blocked with no access to them.  Fork trucks run in all directions with no walking or driving lanes marked.  

If you like to work 12 hour days, 6 days a week(sometimes 7) each and every week where your ideas are not listened to and the only way to advance is to have the same last name as one of the senior managers, then this is the place for you!

Seems very professional place.People in the hiring team and management were very easy to approach and well paying company.
Met the teams around .were very friendly and seemed happy.Lot of thing changed in the recent past and for good .My friend works there and was thinking about to quit 3 months back ,but he changed his views,he says he is very happy currently which made me apply for the job.

Working there was nice. fellow employees where friendly and fun to work with.
Owner was a bit different , very rude to employees, swearing at people and just an all around nasty person. Rarely was he a nice man.
If your looking for a place to get experience in the produce production industry I would suggest working here, but get your experience and then leave because there is no future. No raises no benefits for production employees

all in all not a bad place to work but the hours are brutal, by the time one gets home it is already 6pm if you work days and on afternoons you may see the day shift come in before you even go home. the lunch break is to long at an hour. mandatory over time should be illegal but since it isn't they take full advantage of it.  however the people who work there both with the company and cash are great and friendly people to work with.

I loved working there. It was a nice place to work and it was very organized. The cleaning lady loved me because I would stay and make sure my line was clean and not bugger off like the other workers. My ex got me fired because he lied and told me the start time was at a diffferent time. If I get to work here again I will call my supervisor for the hours next time!

Very unorganized company and no room for advancement. If the CEO and COO don’t  like you, doesn’t matter what you do, your gone. Pay is not great for the amount of work required. Some positions are 24/7. Aggressive tones and swearing is a day to day. They preach values but the owner doesn’t have any or respect for anyone. Will yell and belittle you in front of everyone. Horrible environment.  Stay away. Much better places to work

Lakeside was a great place to work I would still be there but they cut out contractors that's why I went to Pure Hot. I want to be a regular worker not a contractor. The management was great they have many incentive programs.

Not a good place to work. Look at all the jobs they are hiring for. It’s not because of people retiring. It’s a constant revolving door and people are getting fired all the time! This is not a company that is long term! Look elsewhere if you want to work for a company for a long time. Owner and COO do not care about people, you are just an object and once no longer needed. Your gone. Leave while you can like I did

I had to miss a few days because my sister got injured and I was the only one who could take care of her and I let them know that and they didn't seem to care about me at all because I was fired from my placement because I had no choice but to put my family first in this type of situation so they say they will help you with anything but apparently they couldn't with this
