The most enjoyable part of the job was the people I work with. Other than the management and a few of the very old foreman its a decent working environment. The hardest part of the job is usually being away from home for a month at a time working in brutal conditions such as extreme cold extreme heat and extremely filthy and dangerous conditions (ie chemicals, tight spaces, excessive noise, heights, damaged equipment that we are forced to use ect)

the hours were good
co-workers were awesome
when work was busy i was able to pickup extra shifts when i wanted

downside is i have been layed off for 2 months now and i didnt get much notice of the layoff which was tough for me before christmas

This position was developed to assist the company to bring their health and safety obligations with respect to documentation up to regulatory standard. My co workers have been amazingly helpful and accepting, and I have had no issues whatsoever settling into this position.

Had a great time working for Lakewood. The strive for excellence which pushes you to be better.  The biggest problem is seniority doesn't seem to mean much even though they are union. If you become friends with the bosses you will stay busy, if not you'll be continually laid off.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my years of working at Lakewood and hope to return to them once they have work again. It is a smaller and more close knit company which I much prefer to large project mega companies.

Accounts Recievable, Job Costing, Budgets, Invoicing, Posing..
Learned lots of things.. I really enjoyed working here.. Sadly I have been laid off as times have slowed down

I worked on and off with lakewood for near 7 years and was always treated with respect from the bosses. Got loads of experience working from refineries to mines. Lots of out of town work but if you like hours and a good crew highly recommend.

- safety conscious with good procedures
- management does hear its employees
-unfortunately contract work, wish I stayed longer

They have alot going on but planning details are a little lacking. Pay is mediocre. Primarily doing electrical construction  but trying to do more instrumentation. Poor work life balance.

Good run, hard but fulfilling work, laid out nicely
