The management is annoying and rude. Every time the store manager and the assistant manager would interrupt me when I was with the customer.  I felt like that this was disrespectful as it was not like I was a new employee. It was a very controlling and competitive environment. If your performance is not up to the store manager's standards, the manager took advantage of me by only giving me one shift every two weeks. I don't understand how I am supposed to improve my performance if I am not able to get any hours. There was no communication on what I needed to improve.

They have very rude environment. They expect you to behave like professionals from your very first day and compete with ones who have been working their for an year. I have worked at Scarborough town Centre and it was not at all easy or welcoming. You don't get paid for your sales and will be pointed out on every act of yours so much that you start feel conscious about yourself. Even if you're trying to do things better it will not at all be appreciated. I would not recommend anyone of my friends to work there.    

I have been working at laline in Masonville mall for over 2 years. It has been really fun watching the company grow in Canada, as it had only been here for a few months when I started. Upper management always takes staff's feedback and uses it to the advantage for the customers. There are always fun sales contest, and the staff are so friendly and kind. The product is amazing, so easy to sell because it really is high quality and for reasonable price. Overall an amazing place to work!

Friendly coworkers, good discounts and nice products. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The commute to multiple stores and not being Asian. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Majority of the same race was hired so it could get cliquey — would only recommend working here if you want some retail experience or if you’re of the same race as the hiring team.

Its a really competitive place to work at.You need to make a certain amount of sales everyday and if you don't meet your goals for 3 days the manager with have a conversation with you.It doesn't matter if the store is busy or not you have to try your best to make sales.Employees are always in competition trying to steal each others customers.I worked there for a few months and it was super stressful

Overall it's a good place for part-time and gaining minor experiences where the working environment really depends on who you work with and how you perform. I have absolutely no hate for this company but it's the first place that I feel working hard isn't the only solution to earn more hours, you gotta be smart and behave when changes happen.

This job has taught me quite a lot of skills that I used both at work and outside of work! There is a lot of stress to sell a lot though, so that does become a lot, but if you're able to sacrifice your life to it then youll definitely succeed!

The job itself is very simple and easy. Bad welfare and never care about people. The management style is not friendly and messy. Worth to try a short term but not for a good long term career plan.

If you don’t preform good you simply do not get hours. Extremely high goals and extremely hard to meet the goals when the store locations are super slow on traffic.

A lot of stress for very little pay. Don’t expect to be able to make a living from working here. Being fair and kind to employees is not their strong suit.
