Lambton Ford

Spent my days calling, writing emails and letters to follow up with contacts made.  Engaged customers once on the car lot.  Follow a very simple sales process to get to the presentation of the vehicle or vehicles and test drives.  Usually had 2 to 3 appointments per day to finalize vehicle sales.  

I learned how to work with urgency and purpose. My efforts in learning as much about the vehicles and the people that were working with me were the biggest factors in making me a successful automotive salesperson and manager.

Very caustic sales environment.  No teamwork at all.  Probably the worst sales environment I have ever worked in.

Hardest part of the job was being at the mercy of people showing up vs being able to go out and make it happen.

Love my customers and making their purchase stress free, fun and enjoyable.

Being in the service department can be a very exciting and personally rewarding job however, you will never be paid for what you are doing nor enough to put up with the things you are put through in that position. 
If you have thick skin, don’t take anything personally, don’t care if you are only being noticed for your mistakes, then you could do this job. 
They will always ask for more of you than they are willing to give back or willing to pay you! If you are a loyal customer and cry wolf, the service department will be wrong and management will overrule in the customers favour making you look foolish without any communication. Good luck!

I worked very hard at the job and was successful in sales with a great product to sell. However no matter how well you perform management expects more even when you outsell colleagues. The sales floor is very caustic environment with constant back stabbing and negativity. The Management promotes you to steal other salesmans customers and backstabbing behavior. The management is very disrespectful and arrogant and only out for themselves.

Working at lambton ford is the absolute worst job I’ve ever had. Zero communication, management is just a guy sitting in his office all day pretending to be busy. Issues within the shop. (ie a hoist that is broken) is ignored and you’re just told to find another hoist. The pay was terrible... complete 90000 hours of training and you’ll get a raise. How about you pay someone what they are worth instead of basing it off of fords garbage training?

Started work at 7:30AM, handling customers needs and got my employees working. Opened, closed work order and took payment.
Learned to manage my time and skills. Co-worker were great, usually willing to help in my duties, Hardest part of my job was getting the work done, when promised. Best part of my job was to see my customers 100% satisfied.

Bad management, low pay. Your just a number. This place had been on a firing rampage lately. The service manager is one of the worst I have seen in my time working in the automotive industry. There is lack of communication, and if you make one small mistake they nail you to the wall for it, no matter how small. Stay away from this place.

I enjoyed working with the staff and customers. Everyone was well taken  care of and seemed happy with their service. I enjoyed being spontaneous and on the go. Challenging yet fun.

Good place to work!. Lots of opportunities to make a good living at Lambton Ford. I made a good living, for almost 30 years, but you have to work hard like any commission sales job. I would recommend

Moral was awful. Team mates were good people. Management was bad.

Pay was not the best, you felt like you had to ask for and explain why you deserved a raise.

Although Lambton ford is known well throughout Lambton county it still has its cons. It works as any typical shop would. the mechanics are all mostly friendly and so is most of management,.
