typical day at Lambton consists of serving tables, greeting and chatting with members.
employees are great, the main reason I have stayed employed with this company. 
management is good, but could be better especially when the grill becomes busy and also with the veteran staff (old school ways). 
not a good place to move up, the higher roles have all be taken due to seniority. if your looking for an establishment to grow within it, this place is not for you. 
but if you are looking for a fun place to work with fun people, absolutely.

The front of house staff where wonderful

The long summer hours, pressure from club house manager

Always busy, nice members, great team work. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Multiple different jobs to do, have to be able to multi task many jobs and once. On your feet for many hours.

Very low pay for a serving gig, not sustainable for living in Toronto. If you are new to serving, great learning environment, but if you're used to cash tips, then this isn't the place for you. Members of the golf course bend rules and have inappropriate behaviour. Feels often that club members came first over staff and that wasn't a good feeling. 

I suffered an injury on the job, and the following proceedings with WSIB included my employer lying about the circumstances surrounding it, presumably in order to avoid their own insurance rates increasing. I was let go from this position for not showing up on a statutory holiday, despite not being informed that we were required to attend work that day.

Lambton Golf has always been a welcoming and well cultured work place. Inviting and accepting new employees as well as providing a safe a secure home for long time workers looking to advance their careers in hospitality and other management aspects of the golf, service and recreational facility industry.

The work is very easy as it is just basic grass and tree maintenance and the fellow employees are very nice. There are a fair amount of breaks but the management is very poor and often conflicting.

Learned a lot about F&B industry, especially customer service. Had great interaction with every club member. Learned a lot about wines as well (my area of interest).

You will work with a diverse range of age groups at Lambton Golf and Country Club. In the golf services department, there is a variety of shift times available so every day looks slightly different in terms of timing.

My experiences at Lambton Golf and Country Club were very good, I’ve learned a lot about services for members and I enjoyed working with my coworkers and manager. 

Lambton Golf and Country Club is a very good employer. 

Overall the experience at lambton golf and country club was a positive one. I was able to gain a lot of experience and was well compensated while doing so.
