The company is still growing so they say there is lots of opportunities but there is zero room for growth. The pay is underwhelming and the benefits may as well not exist. If they don't like you they force you out and make your life suck. The managers will call u a loser when they put to much work on one crew and stuff doesn't get done. They expect 2 people to do the same work as 4 or 5 and get mad and punish u for not get it down. They promote yes men, lazy people and family. They dangle an incentive if front of your face but never give it to you because of some reason or another that they make up on the spot. All in all one of the worse companies out there and I wouldn't recommend it.

I have really enjoyed working here so far. Most people are really good to work with. Summer hours are consistent. Hours in winter with snow removal is dependent on the weather which can be stressful as you may go days without any work, though they do try to keep you busy. Over time is after 55 hours which is almost never achieved unless you work a Saturday which is almost non-existent. 
They offer good benefits and a rsp share program. I love the family aspect of working here. I feel like I'm more then just a number. If you love working outdoors and working with your hands give Landscape Effects a try.

Could be fast paced at times.

Fun. Energetic. Definitely not stuffy or conventional 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Video meetings, work, creativity and a lot of moving parts

Typical day to day can fluctuate. Management is very detached from staff. Sure they throw many office type bonding days, however always for social media, and "show off". The most toxic, dysfunctional "family" as they present it. Zero room for any type of growth or advancement, unless your related or have a relationship with someone within the company.

Underpaid and over worked
Favoritism is real
You better be adamant on the wage you are expecting to earn off the bat
No standby pay in winter
Many good people fired over real issues that could be avoided



I have been with LFX since November 2021 and it has been a great learning experience and one of the highlights of my career in Property Management.  Excellent ownership and leadership team, who make you feel like you are part of a family.  

Working here is not recommended. The Operations Manager lacks competence, assigning managerial tasks that feel more aligned with reception or entry-level assistance. Salary is subpar considering the lofty expectations. No employee can sustainably work here long-term due to these issues and the less-than-ideal location.

Do not work here.

The workload is heavy, but the pay is extremely low.

Management is incompetent, acting as if they have authority for the sake of power-tripping rather than effective leadership. The company is disorganized, expects long working hours, and shows little to no respect for its employees.

Management has no appreciation for services provided by employees.  They do not respect family time as much as they preach family values. They pay decent to keep people from leaving there trap

Culture is toxic.  Very high school mentality.   Lot of gossip. Management plays favourites in every department.  Pay scale is very low and raises do not happen.
