Great place to work. Benefits are awesome. People are very friendly and welcoming.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
In my work at the district the only stressful part is traffic because there is too much construction in the Langley area.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture and work environment is amazing.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Interacting with fellow employees and sometimes get to talk to parents and kids.

*go over any necessary change or fill in , in the day
* go over what the day looks like with the classroom teacher
* set up the day for my students: visuals pic schedules, remove any distractions, Shape of the day , preloads put in place, 
Making sure my students are happy to be at school and the rules that are set in place for the day are implemented and to learn 1 thing. 

If the students leave happy , then I've done my job to the best of my ability!! :)

I learned so much there, and most day I felt I impacted the lives of children and the families in a good way… I would have loved to stay there until I retired. but! I was falling into debt working there. they do not give a living wage. an amazing group of people with many learning and cultural important experiences I will never forget… too bad the School District does not pay its employees a living wage.

Langley SD 35 is a progressive district always researching and collaborating on new education research and outcomes.  Promoting autonomy, confidence as well as good moral reasoning, while helping students find their full potential is a main focus.  They offer many valuable and varied pro-d opportunities.

working with the school district #35 at the age of 16 gave me alot of work experience working for a foreman in plumbing service. it gave me a good understanding for knowing how a toilet, flushometer and how faucets work and how to repair them.

The Langley School district was a great place to work! Unfortunately, as a Youth Care Worker the hours are limited (6-6.5 hrs per day) and you are laid off during school closures; so while hourly wages is competitive, yearly income is low unless you are working elsewhere over the summer. The district provides great training opportunities and workshops for professional development.

Great pay and job security. The schooling for the certificate is short, and you learn so much from the children you work with. The job can be very rewarding and almost easy if your passionate about it. I would not recommend this job if you are not patient or flexible or dislike kids.

I love being a teacher's assistant with the Langley School District.  Working with all the children is so rewarding and I really feel like I make a difference in each life.  Everyday is different and I'm always learning.  My co workers are lovely and I feel like we are one big happy family.  Tons of support.

Basic high school teacher. This schools has higher standards than most public schools. I enjoyed the work ethic and focus on academics. The admin was fair and demanding. The culture was positive. The hardest part was disciplining.
