Low hourly pay ($22.50/hr) is dominant issue coupled with expectation to perform many tasks outside of paid time such as scheduling meetings, dealing with technical issues and too many emails; learners/clients are professional, motivated and lovely to meet; too many gaps in the day not filled results in even lower unsustainable per/hour pay; scheduling is at mercy of admin. Job is only good as a part-time filler, not sustainable as a real job.

Training was completely chaotic and inadequate.  The lesson portal cumbersome, and the cache necessitated clearing constantly before pages would open.  Management made sporadic, unilateral decisions that were final.  I learned not to reach out to management, but other tutors, if clarification was needed.  Increases were based on hourly part-time or full-time yearly accumulation; yet no guarantee of hours were provided; thus no access to exceeding the yearly expectation for a raise. Management does not promote fellow tutor camaraderie or consultation.  They do not provide student feedback.  The most enjoyable part of my job was student interaction, which, unfortunately, was not recognized by the company.

Since they hired the 'teachers' outside Canada, there is no job anymore for the Canadians. Therefore, you'll be paid poorly no matter what is your experience. A complete novice teacher or an experienced teacher. No reward if you teach well or you do the bare minimum. 
There is no future or satisfaction to work for such company.
The communication is awful, you can't barely contact anyone in that company! 
They have tons of contracts and students but never any class to give you so again, I'm wondering who got those hours ! 
No benefits obviously, you're just a cheap workforce for them while the company itself makes tons of money. 

After being with this company for over a year, myself and two other ESL tutors were the only people to witness the vast turnover of staff within the company.  Senior management eventually had to take over from junior management because of their biased, unprofessional and disrespectful treatment of tutors.  Decisions were unilaterally made, without any hearing of adjudication process in place.  Benefits and hourly increases were provided, upon junior management's discretion, and nothing else., regardless of how tutor's followed policies and operational rules.

Overall it was ok but since they hired anyone with any background, teaching is not a suitable word here. I kept having students complaining on how bad the teachers were since they had no clue about education or teaching. Some of them were barely native and made many mistakes in French.
It was ok at the beginning but now they hired in Europe and everywhere they could so we can't work anymore with stability. Hours are not guaranteed and don't except them to send you new students, you will have to beg for them.

Tutors work remotely from home; there is little interaction with employees so it is difficult to assess the work culture. Tutors have little job security; they can be terminated quite easily and abruptly without just cause. 

Salaries are very low and insurance benefits not great. The product sold (online language courses for government employees) is very poor quality and outdated and the only reason it still exists is probably that it has no competition. The environment is toxic and no one feels appreciated. It's just hard to push a faulty product on people and feel good about oneself.

There is many reasons why I like my job. First and foremost, I spend my hours talking to smart and interesting people. Secondly, it's amazing to be able to work with competent people. My colleagues answer me in a matter of minutes every time I have a question or need something. This kind of support makes everyone's life easier and less stressful. I really feel like I am part of a team.

Working for LRDG is being a great experience so far. The management is quite efficient and reliable. Colleges are great and communicative. Students are nice and kind. Hardest part of the job? Fill up the student's reports in few minutes. Most enjoyable part? Meeting such a bunch of interesting people coming from every corner of this beautiful country. 

The management team is unresponsive and take arbitrary decisions.
Online tutoring for different groups/ individual.
The most enjoyable part is the Online Teaching and Learning.
