Laricina Energy

Camp life was very good. Great bunch of co-workers. We were a pilot plant working on Cyclic steam injection and SAGD methods within the Grosmont carbonate zones. There were new ideas and equipment being utilized at Saleski pilot. Camp was very comfortable with private rooms and good food / recreation.  Its location was in the remote area north of Wabasca Alberta.

My day would start off getting crews prepared for there days tasks and trying to keep everyone on track stay on ROW  keeping up with the schedules and making sure everyone was clear on there rolls.

What I learnt was never leave anything to chance you have to be checking up on the crews at all times 

Had a good relationship with co-workers and Management

This was a great place to learn and grow in my career. Every Tuesday, a department would present what they were working on, challenges they faced and strategies to overcome hurdles. Information sharing was key, team work was paramount and the culture of learning was supported from the top down.

Laricina - management was amazing - they were educators.  Everyday was a new day.  They had Tech Tuesday that everyone could attend - which was an hour presentation of what was new what had changed and what needed changing.

Great learning experience, interacting and supporting new technologies and creating procedures to improve other team performance. Variety of different tasks performed on daily bases from hardware to software.

Worked with a great team. Friendly and professional work environment. Wonderful managers and leads. Excellent salary and benefits. Concerns were addressed and resolved quickly. I’ve throughly enjoyed my work at Laricina.

It was a good company to work for, they just ran out of money to keep operating. VP was great to work for. No pension plan and bonus's for last few years were lost due to creditor protection.

It was sad the company had to shutdown, because of the economic conditions. The plant and facilities worked well, and the camp was very good with enough things to do for everyone.

Was a good company to work for that was too short lived. The management and lead operator was good and I enjoyed working for them. The camp was sufficient and had a great workout gym.

Was overall a great company to work for. Was not much job security being a small private company. would have stayed longer if it did not end up the way it did.
