The management do not include care aides in their reviews, they also speak tagalug in their meetings. Morning shift reports in certain units done in tagalug making others left out. Schedulers give their "favorites" shifts and fo not go by seniority. It is a very unprofessional environment. I worked here as a casual just to pick up an extra shift here and there but this is the consensus from staff that are not Phillipino.

Its fun to work because all my co workers are easy to work with and with team works. It hard because at the time of our work termination, all of us in Laurel Place are all worried because we all gonna lose our job.

i loved working here until management chagned and i was no longer able to volunteer here. i genuinely enjoyed working here up until that point. the tasks were never overly difficult and social hour was fun

There is no dull moment volunteering at Laurel Place. The residents are fun and interactive. At times it can be tough as some residents let you know they don't want to be there but you just have to stay positive.

If you're looking for a place to volunteer and enjoy working with seniors/adults, this is the place for you. You can play classic songs while the senior listens.

Staff that has worked there for ages think they own the place . A lot of back stabbing , racism and communication issues, casual staff is not trained on many things yet they are expected to know.. very disappointing.

This was a great place to work at. Lovely staff. Relaxed environment and very easy going. They had a very nice clean facility and the other members of the health care team worked collaboratively together.

laurel place is a great place to work. the staff and management are al friendly. The most enjoyable part are the residents there. Workplace culture is very positive.
