I very much enjoyed the location and the hours in which my shift was , it afforded me my daytime to get the sun and have the day to get all what I needed to do with school .

I liked also - that it was heavy duty work and I wasn't sitting behind a desk.... The crew that actually managed to stay there longer than the probationary period were no doubt solid workers !

I love cleaning jobs - they help me relax...
The fact of going through a process and seeing changes because of your effort is encouraging and it was nice having graveyard shift as no students were there after 10:30 usually so when you were working you could listen to your own music.

It's fairly quiet from start to end of what my shifts were.. 9pm to 5 am ( peaceful) - Sunday to Thursday , and walking home in the morning in the summer to hearing the birds singing was so uplifting no matter what mood I was in.

Great job - I loved it .

It's a good environment to work, you're at school and once your done class you don't have to travel else where, it's right there.

They do a meeting a couple of days before the actual day of work to review any questions and to go over what you will have to do, depending on the job.

I find there's a good work/life balance and they are very understanding if you need some time off for exams or projects, etc.

Depending on the job, mine was very rewarding because i met lots of different people and was able to learn new things on compagnies, for example, therapeutic radiology, related to cancer treatment.

I was able to talk about the College and show students of high school how amazing it is, all the opportunities they can get and how College Boreal is like a big family atmosphere.

This is a teaching experience. I was a professor of pharmacy technicians. The typical day at work was a joy for me since I was teaching things I liked and enjoyed doing. Topics I was teaching, were so close to the pharmacy sector, the profession I like. Would that be different with the passion I have with the pharmacy profession? I don't think so. In both situations, being a pharmacist or a professor, I think I take care of people. Therefore, I just enjoyed what I did as a professor, and what I am doing now as a pharmacist..

During the time I worked at College Boreal as janitor, I learned many different skills. For an exemple, I demonstrated the ability to vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub and many more tasks to keep the school clean, while working safely. I acquired substantial rounded knowledge of cleaning the school, in the limited time offered. I also obtained the ability to perform many different task simultaneously.  I enjoyed the people I worked with, and the salary was exceptional for a student my age.

Tested, upgraded and created code to help with minor side projects they were working on.

There wasn't much to work on as they couldn't get me security clearance to work on most of their current projects. Some ideas given for current projects were dismissed without explanation of why it wouldn't work (or if it would take too long to implement).

The staff was great and friendly, manager was super helpful.I was included in all the programmer staff meetings.

Many customers with many challenges, to which employees must respond in all circumstances.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is wonderful and everyone is willing to help one another.

I have met wonderful people and management. I learned a lot by meeting different people through students and having a power desire to solve any issues regarding my job field because of a high demand and requirement that I supposed to follow in order to get my Job done in a perfect way. My environment was more on PC and handling Network for a better files sharing and printing facilities between classes and Offices.

To begin, a normal day at boreal includes classroom teaching as well as hands-on training. In the past 3 years I've earned many skills and knowledge of forestry and Fish and wildlife. My classmates are excellent and always ensure a good, healthy learning environment.

The most enjoyable part of College Boreal is the opportunities gained while studying.

I greatly enjoyed my experience in helping an executive worker pursue learning French as a Second Language for her professional development.  There was the flexibility and responsibility of adapting the course program and schedule to the student's needs, and the satisfaction of guiding a student one-on-one to improved competence.

Very rewarding to work there. Seeing Students come and grow and fufill there dreams.
Doing recrutments throughout the province of Ontario was very gratifying Meeting potential students and listening to their aspirations gave me a lot of confidence in the future generations coming into the industry
