Enjoyed the friendships I made over the many years working for Lear
I like the fast pace of the auto industry and working with the latest technology. Worked as a liason between the company and the union on many issues and disputes ranging from time studies to health & safety  issues. Have done many new Product launches over the years working for Lear here in Kitchener and Oakville . Also assisted in the start up of their new plants in mexico providing them plant layouts  and creating process flows for manufacturing. Sad to see this plant shutting down and moving to Mexico as  many talented people made this a good success . I look forward to new challenges 
maybe in a Operation Manager or Production managers position

I worked  there for 31 year. I will miss the job and the people I got to know over the years 
Preform final inspection on seats built for GM, some minor repairs using various tools and working with steal and fabric, spring’s and other industrial material. 
Over the years I have worked in many different labor positions; from working on the line to sweeping floors and cleaning. I have used numerous different tools from a whale bone to screwdrivers and saws.

Assembly and Lead hand Duties.
Quality Is Number one
Management was Very Helpful and Co-operative.
Co-Workers were Hard working and Fun. Very helpful when required.
Hardest Part of the Job was , I can`t really see any thing that was Hard about the job.
The most enjoyable part of the Job Learning,advancement and education Towards new Products.

This is the absolute worst work place i have ever worked in. The people are hostile the work is brutal and the pay is nothing. We make car seats for luxury 50 thousand dollar vehicles, and some people get paid 12.50 an hour. I have worked there for about 3 years now, and i can tell you the company is slimey and does not care about their workers.

through out my life experiences training and the interactions with fellow employees I have learned and shared many positives in life,negitives I will try n solve to my best . I ave taking on many rolls of responsibility and leadership through out my life,which I would gladily discuss in detail in an interview in the near future

Lear was a good ... no. GREAT place to work until it became unionized, CAW killed this facility and the employees took advantage. When the plant closed these people will never be able to find another job that paid them so much money. Management was over run and the employees got what they deserved... a closed plant... thanks to the CAW and the employees that took advantage.

A typical day at Lear is i would start the press up and than set it up by setting a die on bolster with a forklift,than bolting the die to the bolster.Adj die to correct operating height. Feed steel coil through feeder and it to die,adj to get good parts and than run press.

Met a lot of good people here but the place shut down it was a decent job had a lot of memories here. Too bad they shut the plant down to get rid of everyone that worked their butts off to get to top wage. Just to soon open again and hire all new employees at minimum wage and screwed us all over. 

I guess this job was great because I needed a summer job. They always make sure you are properly trained on a job and are not in over your head. Generally the people you work with are nice. There is the opportunity to move to part time from summer student as well.

Well it auto industry what else could I say about it, moving to Mexico and China and anywhere else to were they could build cheap vehicles and send them back up here and we pay a pretty dollar for them ,what do you want me to say about
