If you decide to work here be prepared to not have a life outside of this job. Typical days are usually around 12 hours or more and they do not care about your other obligations like doctor appointments etc. Management is friendly enough unless they're making you do unsafe work. I saw many dangerous and unsafe incidents occur. There are countless instances of poor planning which result in days being longer and you getting jerked around. If you're new don't ask questions, because they don't want to be bothered. If you don't ask questions though be prepared to be told you're doing it wrong and it's your fault the day is going poorly. It's a lose lose situation you either ask and get scolded or you don't and get scolded. Overall the communication here needs major improving. Some employees were friendly enough and others couldn't care less about you. Everybody doesn't need to be buddies but there does need to be communication and teamwork to be effective. This company will mentally and physically drain you. Enjoy waking up everyday going to a job you hate.

I have worked at 3 companies over a 23 year career in HVAC. Legacy is by far the best!  They have all the elements that make up strong, capable team, but most importantly there are smart people at the top!  The owners and managers are very much in tune with what's happening with the boots on the ground. There has been some great new additions to the team lately and we are constantly improving our processes  and the way we do business to be more and more efficient and professional.  Legacy really is a fantastic place for up and coming, young, hungry technicians to learn a valuable trade skill with a world-class team of professionals behind you.  If I was still a tech there's no other company I would rather work for than Legacy.  We're still growing, but our trajectory is undeniable!

Legacy is an okay place to work if you never mistakes, need no support ever, and crush every call off no sweat. But if you need support, training, or even to be heard out prepare for a rude Awakening. I watched good techs get pushed out the door for no reason other than they had the audacity to point out what was going on, or they needed a little support. Apprentices/helpers beware, this is great place to spoil your experience in the trades as pressure is very high and your lead will often have little to no patience for your need to grow. Never seen so many apprentices fly in and out of a company, one minute you're their shining star, the next your useless to them. They'll act like it's all your fault, but their turnover rate speaks for itself. Plus all decent benefits vanished after Christmas. Genuinely hope your experience is better than mine.

A typical day at work is filled with lots of learning and reviewing of material. 
Honestly, I believe I have learned more about HVAC systems and RNC from my managers and my incredible team members. This workplace is so friendly. Everyone wants to help and if they catch a mistake, they let you know quietly so you have a chance to learn and fix it, instead of announcing it in front of others. The hardest part of the job is making sure I use the right script and assign the right priority. Sometimes the priority can be a mix of different things, so we just add a lot of notes! The most enjoyable part? Working with this team and making customers happy. I love congratulating people on getting possession of their new homes that we helped ADD the HVAC and Plumbing to.

I’ve never worked for a company who values their employees so little. To them, you are just a number; easily disposable. The reason they’re always hiring is because the employee turnover rate is the worst I’ve ever seen. Most of the employees there only stayed because of the benefits, which the company just got rid of. You longer have tool allowance, clothing allowance, and they changed the health benefit plans so you pay more for a lot less. You make more hourly but it breaks even as the piece-pay quotes are way lower than they should be, just unattainable. You end up working a few hours for free each day. You’re also not compensated for training new people/apprentices. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place because I promise you, you won’t be there for long. 

I love working at legacy as an installer. I love the piece pay as it rewards hardworking individuals and holding installer accountable for the quality of their work also their piece pay hours are as competitive with any other company. This gives you the flexibility of starting early and leaving early and still getting paid more than full days wage.  I’ve hit the piece pay bonus almost every single pay cheque which is an extra 10% on your hours for that pay period. I’ll admit getting to the bonus isn’t easy to start but it’s a reward for having experience and being good at your job and that takes time just anything good does. This job might be for everyone but if you’re good at what you do or want to be this is place to be.

I never write reviews ever but after working here i felt i needed to. Let me start with saying do not work here. They have recently reduced the benefits to little to none. they took away the tool allowance. Also making you buy all your own tools. When tools break they do not offer a reimbursements you must buy new drills etc. All your helpers are straight out of high school with no field experience at all. You must train them to work efficiently to their piece pay schedule and don't get no  compensation or extra pay for doing so it comes out of your free time. Place is a revolving door with people leaving left right and center. definitely not a stress free environment.  regretted coming in every single day.

Most stressful part is all the micromanaging from people who don't know anything. Place is a revolving door.

Environment is absolutely toxic.

Typical day is working like a dog to only get ridiculed by some no mind.

This has to be the worst place I’ve ever worked. Never before have the 1 star reviews been so accurate.  The management is horrendous and treat people like garbage. The estimators must get kick backs for under quoting jobs because no one Can be that bad at their job and still be working. Just look at all the positions they are hiring for, and it’s not because they are “growing” it’s to replace the staff they keep losing 

Everyone has a clear role and purpose at Legacy Heating. It is a team environment where you feel supported and you are encouraged to always be yourself. I feel that there is plenty of opportunity to move within and up in the company if one wanted to. Managers are easily accessible and treat every team member like they matter. The company has an exciting vision and growth. It openly shares its vision and growth with the entire company so everyone feels part of the mission.
