Legend Boats

I worked for them for about 3.5 years total. they make all these promises of security and great pay but its lies ..they have no problem firing a worker (most likely shop /rigger) or laying them off due to demands and what not . also without giving a legitimate reason as to why you are being fired .. they do a good job at pulling the wool over your eyes before you realize after 3 plus years of work for them , they can just fire you without reason/ used the fact that I was coming back because I left and they offerd me a raise to come back because they needed me, also i was asked to come back due to lack of workers with knowledge and drive yet once the season ended I was let go without reason ...right before my new probationary period was soon to end ..strange ain't it ?? 
long story short - don't work for legen unless you want to be randomly let go for no reason .also the turn over rate there is like 60-70 percent so let that sink in .

Legend is a family business, for better or worse. However they have very ambitious goals, which is both admirable and challenging as this entails some growing pains. Work environment was very good as was general culture, and the owners tried to be helpful. 
In some cases it seemed as though the company was not quite ready to support the position I worked in. In addition, salary was not amazing, (although that's likely partly on me for not negotiating better). 9 hour days are common which seems unnecessary to me given that multiple studies have shown productivity isn't maintained for that long.
Overall, a stable and friendly place to work, with benefits and good admin and friendly atmosphere. The management are genuinely passionate about their industry and selling boats, which do tend to bring happiness to people, is a fun thing to do. 

For me a day in the trailer was show up for morning safety meeting, go to my bay, set up my tools etc and plan the order of trailers I was building for the day. I would have to almost run around the trailer to be able to build them to the deemed efficient pace dictated by the management. The people I worked with apart from a couple exceptions were all fantastic and easy to work with, however the main difficulties came from the exceedingly high expectations from management and their lack of effective long term planning leading to higher demand from us as things that could have been done weeks or months prior had been left until last second. The company itself does a lot for its employees, paid camp days, monthly lunches, as well as other activities. There's is just lack of opportunity in the wholesale division for advancement in any reasonable time frame.

Was a great experience working for legend boats only reason I left my spouse changed jobs in another city. Great team,had a great supervisor and many perks like lunches would still be working there want a place to learn and be respected legend boats is it. 

If you work in the yard prepare to do some stupid things that don’t make sense . No proper training , management is poor , always go go , heaters and machines don’t work properly for the winter time outdoors so things don’t defrost you can’t see in a forklift at all . Just a terrible place to work avoid at all costs ! 

Legend had some positives , being family oriented, some nice people to work with. The teams were very segregated from each other and not allowed to interact in certain circumstances. It could be very slow to just slow in the area that I was in. 

Horrible management cheap company and slow work pace and constantly being tracked by cameras and the apps they make you download and don't bother if you smoke very bad place to work if you have a backbone

Anyone suggesting negative feedback has not worked in enough other industries or businesses to appreciate what they do offer at Legend and what the Company does for the employees.  No place is perfect, but they try more and more every year to get better.

Fun and interesting is a good way to explain Legend. I'm learning lots of new hands on skills with tools and outboard motors. The management is fair and understanding. Work environment is happy and healthy.
