Lego Store

I was lucky enough to be hired at the LEGO store at Southgate for the holiday season, and the experience was very positive. The training process was hands on and management was patient with us as we completed training. My managers and co-workers were terrific people who I formed strong relationships with and who were a solid support network for difficult days. The workplace culture is excellent, with perks being provided regularly (such as free gifts, display sets, and goodie bags) and a break room stocked with snacks for comfort. I enjoyed working on the till, building sets in the back room, stocking shelves, and helping customers find their products, though it was at times stressful managing line ups and keeping the store from getting over capacity. There was some potential for advancement, though my seasonal contract was unfortunately not extended; however, I hope to be back for next holiday season and I will apply for any position the store has available. I learned a lot from this job and it helped me to be a more skilled worker for the future. In all, I highly recommend working here if the opportunity pops up, as you will love every minute of it.

Typically at the Lego Store I did either cash work, or helped customers on the floor. Given the small business size, it was easy to stay in a particular area and assist customers in a certain theme.
I learned a lot about myself, and had my values align with that of the company; hard-work and determination would equal success. 
Management was very scatter-brained. Most of the staff, myself included, were all roughly the same age, early to mid twenties. The differentiation between who led and who followed, both as co-workers and management, eventually blurred. But that led me to learn I am very independent when I know what I am suppose to get done.
The hardest part of my job was dealing with some of the adults. Usually people would suspect the children would be the problem in regards to sales and what each product is valued at; it is in fact the adults who have those problems. This led to many conversations over discount and promotions, and how to not let people take advantage of loopholes. On the contrary to this, customers were also the most enjoyable part. The ones who were not bad, were fantastic. The ones who liked having that small conversation about product and new up coming sets, those were my best memories.

The Lego store was a job of constants. It was a well managed workplace. This was my first retail job where I learned valuable lessons about cash management and stock control. My co-workers were enjoyable people and it was a good job. The hardest part was working during the holiday season, huge amounts of people would come in and the amount of money made and the busy atmosphere were wild.

depending on your department work can either be supportive and fun or difficult for the wage that you are being paid. I have between departments multiple times and slowly worked my way up in the years. WEM as a whole has understanding and supportive managements but the single departments themselves could have gone through proper training when it came to their management  

The lego store is a upbeat friendly place to work, where management strive to ensure that their employees understand their tasks and have training on how to handle various situations, You are always kept busy and moving, there is not a lot of time for sitting around as there are always customers coming to view product.

The interview was very creative & fun. They told me to pick & build and asked questions meanwhile. Then they gave another task to find out a product for the fake situation they described ( told a grandparent wants to buy a lego for grandchild who's fan of it and very good in modeling it. loves animated ones. and animals)

Very fun environment to work at. Product is amazing. Management was great. Guests were awesome. As this was a retail job, schedule was demanding (varied a lot, evening + weekend) and the store was very busy, meaning it was physically + mentally demanding. Overall, great experience and probably my best job ever!

Everyday was interesting because of customer interactions, new products, build projects, etc. Shipment shifts were inconsistent in scheduling, but overall not much else to complain about. The employee rewards program were also great.

Lego is a good place to work because it fosters creativity and innovation, providing employees with opportunities to design and build imaginative products that inspire children and adults alike, while also prioritizing a positive and inclusive work environment.

As a Brick Specialist, it was such a cozy job,  especially if you like LEGOs. The training is good. It's a great retail job compared to other stores in the mall. Management can sometimes be micromanaging but it's only certain supervisors.
