Lemon Heaven

A typical day at work: You serve customers until your cart is empty, the job is located in a stadium so the majority of your sales will be before and at breaks in the game or event. The majority of the time you'll be standing around doing nothing, you also will not be allowed to use your phone at any point in your shift. You are allowed to keep tips.

The management and crew here are very friendly. This makes up for the boring work.

The hardest part of the job is trying to find something to do in between the busy hours, as you are not allowed to leave your work station. This taught me to be more patient and observant, as well as promoting self reflection as there isn't much else to do.

Since the position was at a festival, the typical day generally is loud laughter and screams all day. You wait and make and sell lemonade, and enjoy some while working, boss' treat. I have learned how to have a festival spirit and light interactions with people. The management is chilled and great. The culture is easily integrated into.  The job is generally light weighted. And the most enjoyable is to attend a festival while working.

Worked here for about a year back in high school. Good for high school students looking to work about twice a week and on the weekends. Almost every time I got paid they didn’t pay the correct amount (always less) and they do not pay you overtime which is illegal. Often had to work more than 8 hours at events without overtime pay. If you don’t care about being taken advantage of, work here.

I only got three shifts due to my age. In one of those shifts the manager complemented me on the fast pace and hard work I was delivering. Although that manger was good the one I had on the first day left us behind so we all took responsibility for managing shifts and breaks and had to run the booth our self's. Despite this there was no complaints from higher up or any costumers.

This is a very fun workplace as you are surrounded by various events. For example, Canucks or BC Lions. It is great for someone who loves sports because your consistently able to see your favorite players in real life while enjoying the atmosphere of the arena.

I worked most days out of the 10 days working at Calgary stampede. My managers were great, very positive people. I would love to work there next year.

Overall, I loved working here. I am extremely sad I wasn't able to work here the past summer due to being full time at my other job. If I had free weekends I would 1000% spend my time working for Lemon Heaven again.

The Employees were all wonderful to work with, whereas the managers were overly demanding and critical. There was no job security, and jobs were threatened many times.

Good drinks, fun summer job, pleasant coworkers. In a typical work day we would set up our tent, make lemonade by hand squeezing the lemons and use the cash register to ring through customers orders.

Though I've only worked at Lemon Heaven during the summer, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. The mangers are very encouraging and friendly while the job itself focuses on team building and customer service.
