I've been with Goeasy for a little over two years and am ultimately pleased with my personal development as well as the company's over this time frame.

Goeasy has a great culture of employee recognition, support and development both personally and career wise that they try to ensure trickles down to each and every staff member. 

If you are a high performing employee, your efforts usually do not go unnoticed. I say usually because of course, this is not always the case. The good thing is, the executives, including the CEO, are extremely down to earth and are constantly touching base with branch employees - they give credit where it is due and take back critical feedback to make a difference.

I have seen software changes, lengthened vacation times, increased bonus payouts, stronger recruiting, improved training and speedy HR involvement take place because of executive involvement.

Also, being part of a company that is growing and evolving rapidly, allows employees the opportunity to be part of something new and exciting and a chance to be part of a change in the world. Different and new positions keep opening up and branch staff have the opportunity to grow and shift gears within the company's various departments. To be fair, a lot of the different opportunities are only available to those living in or willing to move to Ontario where the head office is located.

Goeasy is also very community oriented - we care about our current and past clients, future clients as well as non clients. Services offered are especially tailored to help Canadians get on track to financial success. In addition, Goeasy encourages employees to see the whole person and not just a client by regularly asking staff to nominate deserving or needy clients for care packages or financial aid as well as allowing staff paid days off for community volunteering.

My experience with this company has been a good one so far.  Generally, I feel valued for my contribution both as an employee and very importantly, as a person.  Though career advancements can take some time in smaller provinces or regions, the company itself encourages and supports growth and development for all and has always kept a strong focus on improving.

Job title:
As a financial service representative (FSR), you’re far from a financial rep, you’re a sales rep. You don’t need any business background to work there, however the company expects employees to have some sort of business knowledge; definitely not needed.
Pay:
The biggest thing people talk about is the pay. FSR’s make anywhere from $16-$18 an hour, which is not possible to live off of, but that’s what bonus is for. There is monthly and quarterly bonuses, which has potential to earn you a lot more money if your branch is hitting target.
Day to day:
It will be different branch to branch, but your start of the day consists of calling your new online applications, and then all of the account receivable clients. After that, you’re in sales all day.
Sales:
Cold calls are needed, and calling leads every 3 days until they pick up the phone. This is the part that I did not agree with during my time at easyfinancial. Not only do the clients pay a extremely high interest rate, but on top of that, we are expected to add an additional $100 a month to clients payments for additional services. These services are OPTIONAL, however the only way to sell it to customers is by not telling them it is optional, or you force the customer to take it. And you are expected to have 80% of your loans with these optional services.
Management:
I can’t speak on the whole company, but management within our region management was a big problem. Not everyone is cut out to be a manager, however they just pick the best FSR’s to become managers. The problem with that is that they are good sales reps, not managers. This is where the company went backwards. Sales reps being business, managers lead and coach their team. 
Overall:
The pay is decent, there is a lot of incentives and able to make a lot of money, I know people in the company who make 100k a year as a FSR. Be able to accept that you are a SALES rep, and that’s what you will do your entire day. Some parts of the job are tough to swallow if you have morals. Consistent work through a pandemic also shows a lot about a company. Not a job meant for everyone, but lots of potential if you are a good sales rep


I am working for easyfinancial from last almost 3 years as financial sales representative at National sales Center  Hamilton . Earning good , love to be at work everyday because it's so much fun at work, you get respect,love,care like family.Best company to work with.Management is amazing, no favoritism everyone gets treated same as an employee. If you see something wrong  HR doors are always open for each and everyone with easy access.

 If you want to earn good, want respect at work place, and want to grow in company on good positions i would recommend 100% to join easyfinancial, but make sure to choose correct department according to your work background.


Some say bad some say good. It's almost same with every company reviews . People who say bad they are right and people who say good they are right too. What's wrong is our selection. 

People who say good stuff about companies they love their work they enjoy their work why? Because they selected the right department according to their work background. So once they start working they know what their duties are and for what duties company hired them. So when they work in right department no surprise as they know what they are doing  is a part of their job so they are always prepared to provide 100% without complaining . So usually these employees have no complaints about their jobs.

People who say bad stuff about companies mostly they just jump on any job opportunity because on that time they needed a job, without knowing what they are applying for, what are the job duties, they just apply for  that job. So once they start working everything is surprising for them because they selected wrong field. If your background  is from HR and you are working in sales or other department for sure everything is going to be difficult and you are going to have a problem with everything management , work hours, work pressure, schedule, work environment ect ect.

Good ones always try to find a way to resolve the problem instead of complaining.

Started off great but gradually got worse. They hire inexperienced staff that have no idea what they're doing. The Regional Managers are a joke and manipulate the branches and applications to get a positive outcome to there bonus all the while milking investors money. 

Most managers and executive team members at this company all come from places that have closed for the substantial amount of mortgage fraud that happened and the quality of the applications that were set forward by them. Sounds like a good idea to hire them to grow a business. Whats that saying, history repeats itself!

The mortgage department is run by a bunch of people who have absolutely no idea what's going on with the exception of a few.The mortgage management team is the key driver of the misinformation  forcing the poor mortgage agents to fed for themselves and find the information. Most use Google to get the answers they need. God knows that's a reliable source. 

Trying to have any sort of intelligent conversation with any of them is next to impossible. The management always has the answers even if they're wrong. I was forced to dum myself down on a daily basis.

The company has known for years it was changing offices to the head office and closing the Hamilton office and ignored to tell the Hamilton agents. Instead, they just placed ads to replace them. this company does not stand behind there talent and lives by the rule you're replaceable. 

The company feeds on rumors and gossip and to top it off the HR plays into it hook, line and sinker. The will say anything about anyone with no proof and with no understanding of recourse. 

When I first started there was negative comments about Goeasy on Indeed and I was asked by the now manager of HR to write positive comments so we could attract better talent.

Whoever has been in charge of managing the indeed reviews needs to be fired. This company had no reviews with a modest rating and ever since lendcare started offering "free" stuff to slow employees to write 5 star reviews the truth started coming out from everyone else. Trying to make a fake 5 star rating system backfired hard and only gave the company a bad look. For a company with managers who have removed employees because their image "Isn't a good look for the company" meaning since someone lied we're just going to just fire you without looking into it even if you're a useful employee, they do a good job of shooting themselves in the foot. Lendcare will fire usefull employees who know what they're doing for over emotional cry babies who want their own way even when it doesn't produce results like, Marketing, HR and Partner Support. Lendcare shot themselves in the foot by removing every long term tech person we had for kids who don't do ANYTHING. What happened to the manager who made the department work? Fired for no good reason just like everyone else even after being essential to work. The building doesn't work well without that guy. My manager, fired every female sales person with a more dominant personality than her even when they were top sales people. Criminal management from this company, nevermind the countless young women I would never allow to date my sons as they have no morals constantly lying for attention ans raises. Partner Support was behind me for months. Both the women they hired as so trashy. They harass men all the time yet their supervisor embraces it since he's always hiding makeup stains on his clothes from his wife. This company is toxic on purpose which is why they need to be shut dpwn by the government and have management including HR criminally charged. 

They walk you into a boardroom, tell you what the job entails and what they have done/do, and boom you're offered to come work with them ASAP.
On your first day, you won't have access to a computer so you'll be sitting beside someone who is expected to train you and they won't have enough time to properly train you your first day so it will likely take a few days. After that, there's a good chance you won't have access to everything you need to work unless you beg for it multiple times a day. It won't really speed up the process any however it can be understandable with how fast-paced the work can be.
Depending on your team you may have some of the best people around you or the worst. I was lucky enough to work with a good team that wanted me to improve and was willing to go out of their way to help me improve. Employees that have been with the company for some time may only be secured by the fact that they have passed their probation and upper management can't come up with a good enough reason that won't have them in court.
Upper management will flip flop on if you're damaging their business, a great worker, or scamming them throughout the week and will randomly accuse you of misdeeds whether you did them or not or you were instructed to by other staff. Upper management will be the death of this business as they choke every good employee out and scare people off enough that most don't make it past their first day.
All processes at the company could be more efficient, which I personally believe is because of the upper management and the fact that they have created a nice glass ceiling for themselves that they refuse to breakthrough.

This is a workplace that you need to constantly competing with one another. Everyone is chasing bonus, which is great but you need to struggle to get it. If you are able to hit the bonus, it feels great. But the money can only work for so long. Constantly over worked which starts to become the norm. You won't notice that you start staying later and later at work. Completely frowned on if you leave work at you set finish time. They rather you stay later to try and get another loan through the door. Most branches you eat at your desk while working because of the heavy work load or you do not eat. 

Benefits are okay and they'll cover you after three months of working there. Covered on most things. Not easy to book appointments since your shifts are constantly changing week by week In most branches you cannot have a day off on certain days like Monday, Tuesday or Friday. Due to the amount of work you do on a daily it's not worth the pay. If bonus was more attainable than maybe. 

You work directly with customers. So you'll find great people who will make you day or ones that make you want to walk off the job. You're encouraged to say whatever is needed in order to get that loan closed. 

I stayed in the job for two years and that was because of my manager. If you have a good manager everything will become a lot easier and they will usually take on most of the stress. Sadly, the turnaround rate in the company is high so I lost that great manager. I had two managers who are on the poor side.  Most managers leave the office at a way earlier shift which leaves most of the work load on those who are left. If a loan comes in 5 mins before closing your expected to close it, no matter how long it takes. If not be excepted to hear it the next day. After a while you'll get tired of being treated that way you do what most of my coworkers did and resign.

By experience I have seen this company manipulate customers and accounts so that the disadvantaged pay for products 4-5x over their value. They will lie as to repair status of products and do whatever they can to secure their advantage the general intent is Rent to Rent and occasionally succeed to ownership. I have seen televisions rented with dead cockroaches inside and sofas returned from a home where someone had died in the home only to have the sofa paid off from the insurance and cleaned and re-rented. Of all the Rent to Own companies they are by far the worst choice to be involved with. The salary is mediocre at best and as for performance incentives its up to those ambitious enough be a dishonest as needed to get the sales. As for a collector position you can expect endless calls for payment from customers at a minimum of 3x a day or as many as needed until you get a response. You will be knocking on doors in various locations which will involve product repossession and potential confrontation. In the best of situations you will need to be physically fit to carry products in awkward situations and be required to have a strong base of knowledge on how to manipulate methods to get the product into the homes. As for sales you will have limited product knowledge but be expected to know how to sell it. It will be necessary to know how to be to assemble furniture. If your lucky you will encounter good customers and like minded co-workers to share the stress. As for family life...its a form of retail and you will work saturday and be in the store as early as 8am or as late as 8pm. No axe to grind just the reality of this company and the job as a whole.

All in all I thought Easy Financial was going to be the last place I worked at. Busy from the time I was hired on until the day I was "terminated without cause'.
A typical day involved supporting customer's needs, changes to their accounts, offering increases, applying for new loans and handling the documents required for approval. 
I must say that it was one of the most rewarding customer service experiences I had ever had, you know, goosebumps when someone came in and you could help them, or provided them with the information they needed to fix their financial issues. helping them achieve their goals.
Our team, from our branch to the other regional branches were a solid team, relying on each other for information and support on a daily basis.
The club benefits and bonuses were always welcomed and well deserved. There is a lot of hard work to maintain numbers and growth. Hitting the targets was not only satisfying but fun getting there, because we made it fun. 
The hardest part was keeping up when we were short staffed. It took 6 months to find the right person to fill in the role.
Customer privacy in a kiosk is limited, making it difficult for people to open up about why they were in to see us.

There seems to be a disconnect when it comes to regional managers and their staff. We had 2 in the 3 years I was working there. Pushing you to the limits of thinking today is it, I'm going to quit if he/she doesn't let me do my job. It appears as thought they hit a time in their tenure that is their breaking point and they go from I'm here to help you achieve your goals, to here's a discussion log, come up with a plan on how to fix it  or else.  I have never experienced anything like it.

A typical day at work at Easy Financial concluded in answering phones, reading and responding accordingly to emails, collecting documents from customers who seek financial aid, putting those documents together to present to a verification department for approval for funds, working on the computer, sending faxes, job verifications, residential verifications, handling cash, taking payments via debit or credit and also following opening and closing procedures.

I learned about credit at EFS which has helped me in my personal life, I have learned how to use certain programs and also I learned how to be in a more formal setting.

Management at EFS was great when it came to work related issues, however the discipline was at times extreme and unnecessary at times. The office I was in was one of the best branches in Canada; growth, revenue and other important qualities so the manager knew what she was doing. I did not have a set coworker at times there was only two of us in the office because they had a hard time with staffing there.

The hardest part about my job was entering in information the EXACT way that verifications wanted it because we communicated over emails where we may misunderstand things or they don't get what you're trying to say. Also another hard part for me was when customers did not qualify for funds and I had to turn them down when I knew they really needed financial aid.

The most enjoyable part of my job was interacting with people and developing professional relations ships with my customers.
