Management  is lacking while overseeing the workers on the floor.  New workers are viewed as trying to take the jobs that they applied for away from other long term workers and are told right up front that they will not train or help them do their jobs. Good luck with trying to fit in.

The team culture fostered creativity, and I gained invaluable experience in risk management and defense-sector program delivery.

However, the relocation of manufacturing operations by US leadership disrupted supply chain continuity and fragmented internal cohesion, impacting long-term project stability. Despite these challenges, the role sharpened my adaptability and reinforced the importance of resilient planning in complex environments.

If you are looking for a job that pays 35k this is the place. Don't mind the fact that the next place down the road will pay 60k-65k for the same work. During my "Interview process" I was interested to find out what type of money I would be making, and was very disappointed when their max offer was 30% less than what I currently make. They had a normal 2 person at a table job interview, asked the standard questions, and they seemed nice enough.

A typical day as a QA Engineer consists of root cause anaysis of non conforming product as well as performing process audits.

There is also the maintaning of all process manuals to comply with AS9100C standard.

Terrible company to work for in the production area unless you like being treated like a third class citizen. Much happier faces in the office environment.

it was a nice place to work, I did not feel the DRS stood by their employee's, they did not have your back if you made a mistake and let their customer determine, whether you should be terminated or save your job for you.  


The work was simple enough. Had little room for error though, as everything had to be precise. Good people, albeit annoying sometimes. A bunch of training to make sure you are capable of doing the work required.

Been there seven months and have learned troubleshooting, RTA, Boresight. MES software, Downloader, the best part of the job is working with people and manager. 

DRS hires employees with little experience and motivation. They promote employees based on friendships - which in turn causes turmoil on the production floor.

This is an excellent place to work for, with opportunities for learning and growing, excellent benefits, the management is great, a good positive work environment
