You are never going to advance here. Management constantly blame issues on new employees blaming them for problems, that have nothing to do with them. You have no work life balance. They preach that this place is about authentic relationships, and that can’t be the furthest from the truth. You are there to get the company caught up, and to pay managements salary. They could care less about you. They will look for anyway to get rid of you if they don’t like you.. but they are short staffed?? They never promote inside the company, they will almost always hire externally(unless you are buddy’s with management). They hold everyone accountable except for management, never worked in a place where management treats they’re employees this badly. Some of the managers should be fired or at least written up for the way they treat their employees. You can’t work the schedule they ask you to, they will find a way to get rid of you, you talk back to your supervisor they will find a way to get rid of you. You have an opinion on something it doesn’t matter no one will listen to you here. Now this is the worst place to work if you care about your body, people always always get hurt here. You think of it, it has probably happened here before. I would never recommend this place to anyone if they asked about working here!!!!!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Challenging work in the automation sector. In-house engineering allows for continuous design, integration, and troubleshooting experience with variety of systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Supporting the maintenance department with day to day troubleshooting and route cause analysis.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work culture allows for continuous growth opportunities and the ability to learn from your mistakes without feeling the scrutiny from these learning opportunities.

You have no work life balance you work when they tell you to.  And if you ask for a day off its the biggest deal in  the world. 
Your worked like a dog 
The supervisors are great to work with and are great people   although for the plant GM he could care less about you.   He will cuss and swear at you and if you complain your in trouble, and then plays all nice to the owners acts like he does nothig wrong and cares about you.  And no one will stand up for themselfs because there scared to loose there job. 

I worked hear for not even a month on the productuon side  and i have never worked for a more degading place in my life ide rather flip burgers than work for that GM.  Never have i met someone so unprofetional that calles themself a manager and gets away with it.

During a typical workweek, one of my biggest tasks is checking in on my staff and assessing progress on various projects. I like to meet first thing on Mondays to discuss our priorities for the week on Fridays, I make sure all tasks are completed and I've sent all the necessary communications via email and in person. Finally, I create a list of priorities for next week.

I love having a voice. My boss listens to my ideas and the whole team works together to make them happen. We all support each other and work together to offer creative feedback and then make our ideas a reality

I have worked in different types of environments, and I have to say that LethIron suits me best. The work culture is fast-paced and innovative. It's a company that can pivot quickly when needed. Employees at all levels (management included) truly care about working here, their co-workers, and the success of the company.

Was not easy work, but I was able to do it with minimal relevant experience. 

Benefits and pay are great, management was good to me, and working shifts like 6am-2pm was great for me. Also the safety is top notch. 

I really can't say anything bad. Way better than I expected. Blue collar is where its at, and working for a local business like Leth Iron was pretty great.

If they have a job opening, I highly recommend applying. Would work here again if I could get a position.

Company has high turnover rate, for good reason. Supervisory staff, and lower managment are beyond a joke. Only place i have ever HEAD of a person being written up for being 2 mins late from coffee. 30 mins of break in the whole shift. They work you like a dog, and treat you worse. They threaten to write you up for following standard protocol [they being an employee who has been caught sleeping on the job themselves, and then given a promotion.] Good pay, and benefits package though. free massages, free physio, etc.

My typical day at work , I come early at  12 pm since I am in afternoon shift. Put on my uniform and ppe before start working , plan for the shift will be hand to you by the leadhand,  then  you go check the plan and collect all the shop orders then arrange it , afterwards, start working as much as possible you need to get the job done before the end of the shift or do as many as you can..then I go home at 9 pm . 

There are new work process and procedure everyday that i learned specially in quality and productivity and the management always supports us on our work and teaches us on the work culture of the company..the hardest part is sometimes casting more complex but also manageable ..the most enjoyable part is the teamwork that we have in the company

Lethbridge Ironworks is a pretty decent place. Albeit there is a lot of nepotism and tight knit groups, most workers are usually friendly and courteous. You learn a lot about industrial culture and how an actual family driven business is conducted. Plus you can spend most of the day hitting stuff with a big hammer, and who doesn't love that?
