It was a decent start for me , I was quite excited about working there but then after pandemic things changed. As they switched to COVID related sales, which was super smart.  But then you need more people to do the job if the business has doubled, just pushing same couple of guys everyday , you cant be expecting people to work for 15 hours because you are not hiring enough people. Marketing team does a fantastic job to get leads and there is quite a huge base of loyal customers with recurring business. 
I think the expectation is super high in comparison to the pay. Moreover the incentive plan sucks. 
Old staff members are so bossy and make you feel like you have joined a school. they would keep complaining about everything you do and some of them are not welcoming at all. they are some nice people though but just a couple of them can make your life miserable if they are so dedicated. 


Overall an excellent place to work in all aspects.  One area that for sure needs work is retention of quality technicians.  Technicians there work hard and are paid so little that they have no choice but to move on eventually.  Pay them what they are worth and maybe you will retain a quality workforce at the pointy end of the stick...the face of Levitt Safety every day is the Technicians...
The company has a very high turnover in some branches which leaves gaps in service capabilities which competitors then jump on and the customer is lost.  Management is trying to fix this but it will take time for them to realize they simply have to pay ALOT more to keep quality techs on staff!!  It's a no brainer to outsiders looking in .  Aside from this it's a great place to work 👍👍

After working here for a couple of months I can confidently say that the atmosphere, management, training, and fellow staff members, both administrative and technical, are all top-notch. Training has been both in depth and comprehensive, with support available from all members of the Alberta administrative team province-wide, and management is highly invested in developing and growing employees both as individuals as well as as a team. There is always something new to learn or do on a daily basis.

Work/life balance has been an increasingly important focus in my life and having a workplace that places an emphasis on family and family values has been incredible. I would highly recommend working here.

Joining Levitt has been one of the best decisions I have made. 
The office is a warm welcoming environment with a sense of professionalism where you are motivated to accomplish tasks to the best of your abilities and more. 
Everyone is transparent, friendly and caring, it truly becomes your second home. 
Management takes the time out of their insanely busy schedule to assure you are looked after and takes the time to review goals. Mistakes are seen as learning opportunities and your not left scared or scrutinized. The staff all have a level of respect for each other no matter what position you are. 
I enjoy waking up and coming into work every day. 

A typical day at work - A 12+ hour shift consisting of various tasks involving maintenance, servicing, installation, troubleshooting, and repair at one or more sites.
What you learned - Many aspects of various fire safety systems and improvement on dealing with daily customer service.
Management - Understanding to your needs and fair with career advancement.
Your co-workers - great examples of what teamwork should be.
The hardest part of the job - Working in - 40 weather.
The most enjoyable part of the job - Trouble shooting.Showing up on a trouble call, finding the problem, and fixing it within a tight time frame. I thrive on pressure.

Management is very poor at communicating with you, there was basically no training involved and they would make it seem as if it was your fault if you did anything incorrectly as if they are expecting you to know everything as soon as you start out with them. The work itself was pretty good, and the pay if great, honestly the only thing that was a downside was just the lack of training and communication, many times I would receive a message at 8-9pm to know what I would be doing the next day which is very bad due to some worksites starting their shift at 6am and others would start at 8am so it would not leave you enough time to sleep. Also, the benefits are not that great.

My experience working in service administration has been an interesting one.  The team has changed in culture and structure over past years. The group encourages and values collaboration. The environment is dynamic and service is managed regionally. Sometimes it is chaotic but mostly controlled. Keeps the day interesting. 
Management is busy but will make time for you, and shows dedication and commitment to the team. They take on a large workload to  support us and make sure the team is successful.  
I am genuinely grateful to be part of such a well structured and forward thinking service admin team.

Levitt seems like a great place to work, but in reality, everything is micro-managed and your superiors are constantly stressed due to their superiors. Levitt made a record gross income in 2020, 2021 is doing really well for the company. With the high income, the company doesn't pay the workers well for the work and stress they have at work. Many co-workers work extra hours remotely and get lectured for not doing enough.

The covid procedures are insanely picky and discourage one from eating lunch in the lunchroom. 

Be ready to be treated as an option and scared of being fired at any moment.

Over all a great place to work but the Sudbury branch needs work. With all the changes that have come I feel that they went into the wrong direction. Need to clean up older staff for this branch to survive. They did have a culture launch but with the changes at the branch I feel that they downgraded. They had a supervisor that cared for the branch but couldn't do anything. If they don't fix what broken it don't matter what they do it is not going to work.
 A lot of out of town work and work family balance for little pay. They offer more money when you quit but it's to late at that point.

Fly-In/Fly-Out offer of work with a paid place to live (As of 2017), Fort McMurray is a unique place to work, and Levitt is an interesting company. Friendly co-workers, who for the most part make you feel like family. Shift work (2 week rotations, 12 hour days) leads to poor management, as constant shuffling of technicians during the same job is almost unavoidable.

Cramped living conditions (As of 2017) lead to some in-fighting, and shared rooms between shift workers have led to more than one argument in the past.

Rules did not seem to apply to everyone in the same way.
