Lexmark understood that it needed to avoid becoming the next Kodak. They had a great vision and strategy to transition the business from a commoditized print company with legacy technology into a solutions based software, services, and hardware company. 

They spent hundreds of millions buying and integrating new software companies grouped under the Perceptive brand. Unfortunately, the senior executive team spent too much time jockeying for personal positions in the company – management failed to execute the integration plan! 

The new owners of the print business (Apex) will continue driving cost out of this business – in hopes of recovering their investment. 

Their new strategy is to keep the printers (sockets) relevant so that they can continue making money on selling high cost toner. Good Luck!

• Training, coaching and ongoing evaluation of agents
• Scheduling
• Call monitoring and feedback
• Answer customers’ emails and deal with escalations
• Daily, weekly and monthly call volume and SLA reports
• Improve processes and look for efficiencies within the call centre
• OE documentation updates on a regular basis
• Assist with interviews for hiring
• Reception coverage when necessary

Lexmark was a great place to work.  There was a lot of support from management and team leads.  The Global Service Delivery group was a tight knit group that encouraged collaboration and the sharing of tips and tricks.  Continued learning was very much supported and encouraged.  There was always a opportunity for growth and advancement within the company.

The organization overall is good. There are opportunities to learn the technology yet a very demanding environment. The most enjoyable part of the job was the atmosphere within the teams.

I left the company due to mediocre leadership. They macro manage you to the point of reviewing emails. There’s no delegation of tasks. They even manage your team members.

You learn new staff every day.  Business is related to many customers and all it matters is the customer opinion for your activities. Great place to work.

Spent 14 wonderful years with the company, it has its ups and downs but overall, one of the best places to work. The schedule is flexible, and the work environment is great.
