They consider hourly wages to be generous based on industry standards. At first sight their hourly rate is competitive. However, instructors are expected to be on site for 1.5 hours per shift and are paid only for 1 hour. 

Instructors are also expected to take on tasks which are clearly not their area.

Management fails to stand behind their workers in situations that are well outside of acceptable staff/ client interaction. Yelling and offensive language is considered reasonable provided it is the member and not the staff. They refuse to step in and protect their staff and will protect the member even when the member actually threatens the staff's personal safety.

Instructors are amazing.

LifeTime had many ups and downs. Working in Operations had you feeling on your toes every day. If you took things seriously and put in the work, recognition is there. If you came in just to get paid, don’t expect much. You want respect, you earn it. Had a lot of superiors who gave me all the resources and coaching needed. Set yourself up for success for a company that now rivals against their competitor in Movati. 

To be in operations, let’s put it simply: you are a glorified janitor that also deals with towels, laundry, and serving members in the locker rooms. Getting to know members on a daily basis makes your network so much wider. Going beyond for customer service will get you rewarded.

You will really become part of a team here. Great place where you make great connections. I love and miss this job. 
Management is pretty flexible when you need time off. 
You can really rely on your team members. 
Sometimes the scheduling is a bit weird. I once worked a morning shift for 4 hours and then had a 2 hour break and worked another 6 hours.

Everybody that works there is all under the same fitness emphasized environment. Everyone helps each other get in shape and stay safe & healthy. 
The work environment feels like a big family that you can always turn to.

Very friendly work environment. Staff from all departments are kind and approachable. Management is very supportive and provides the resources for you to do your job confidently. It is fast paced during peak hours but there is always someone to help and support you.

Good job overall if you’re looking for a job with full time of something to fill in between school. Lots of hours and flexibility on schedule. Early mornings, late evenings. Work can be demanding and physical but never exhausting. 

Created food working in the back-of-house, delivering and serving premium quality foods to customers each time.  
Worked in a team in order to establish success. 
Completed modules in order to understand the ins and outs of how a kitchen should operate and be maintained.

I love how emphasis is placed on a healthy lifestyle for everyone, even the employees.  The atmosphere is great.  If you love meeting and interacting with people as I do, it's the place to be.

Lifetime Fitness needs to work on management and team building. Most of the staff is underpaid. Individually employees are great but when it comes to management, working together and getting the job done correctly things need to be improved.
