Lighthouse Camp Services

I have worked for Lighthouse Camp Service since the establishment I work in opened. It is an incredible company to work for! 
The management is great! It feels like a company you can trust, a company you would want to stay at. Their core values of teamwork, integrity, passion for excellence, respect, open communication and safety are zealously upheld. They expect you to work hard and be respectful - do that and you will thrive here.
They take suggestions and complaints very seriously and professionally, and follow up with you repeatedly. I feel valued and cared for, and I am only a grunt worker.
My hard work is noticed and appreciated, I feel like its worth it every day that I come here and give it my best. The complaints against me have been handled well, even dealing with these I feel respected and safe here.
The only complaint I have at my job is salary/benefits, and this area is handled by the group that owns the hotel, not Lighthouse Camp Services, who are in charge of running it.

Lighthouse Camp Services, is a relatively new addition to the Camp Services industry operating within the Athabasca Oil Sands region. They offer competitive pay rates and benefits to their employees as well as clean living quarters, excellent food, a friendly work atmosphere and open/responsive Management. 

Staff work a 21/7 rotation and are offered free flights from Firebag (Suncor) airport to Edmonton and Calgary. Employees come from all over Canada, and those that chose to fly to Fort McMurrray are shuttled to site at no additional cost. 

I enjoyed my time with Lighthouse. If an opening is available, I would encourage you to jump on it as soon as you can.

you work as hard as you can and try to put up with living with co workers and management. try and avoid silly gossip and or possibly offending someone.

do all that you might be fine bottom line is there is a line out the door with your replacement waiting in the wings and constant staff struggles with obscene demands that just cant be met without proper staff/ time and inventory.

like i said its the money you are going for just don't expect anything else. No freedom with a paycheck.

I am a housekeeper, we clean approx 40 rooms a day depending on the amount of people checking in. Ive learnt a lot in this company such as learning that team work is a huge part of the work place. The management is great as well as the people I work with. The hardest part of the jobs is the rotation which is three weeks on and one week off. I enjoy that fact that I can make new friends though and challenge myself everyday.

I enjoyed working with the public and the contractors. Because we had weekly changes in our schedules, it could be draining as sleep was difficult for those of us at the front desk. While in housekeeping, our schedules were regular and I functioned very well.

I absolutely loved working for lighthouse. Great benefits, wages, rrsp program, excellent gym. I would go back to work for lighthouse camp services in a heartbeat. Definantly a home away from home.

Great people working for the company, again as with most companies poor leadership with unqualified individuals running the show. Too many untrained individuals and language barriers which is an unsafe work place.

By far my time with Lighthouse has been a very wonderful experience .
The Management has always treated me with the utmost respect in regards to my work and my personal life.

awesome place to work...the company and management are all easy to approach and talk to, free accommodation free charter flights , travel allowance..

Great managers, great staff, realistic expectations.  The pay was great and the benefits were awesome. For drivers, there was no set schedule, but we were paid 10 hours a day , whether we worked it or not.
