Wake up at 4:30 am get dressed head to the kitchen get breakfast coffee lunch. Finish up at 5:00 go get my work gear on head out to the truck start the truck and welder. 5:30 we hit the fuel tanks i jump out grab the nozzle fill the welder and truck. 5:55 we roll in to site head to the lunch room for our daily safety and progress meeting. We get our job task for the day which was spice piles, fall piles, pile caps, gussets, or cope beam for a tank base and or tank bases.As a helper for said tasks i would do all the buffing, grinding, and cutting.I was able to do the tacing after a few weeks of watching.Typical break times were allotted as long as we had 3/4 the weld process done as it was in the procedure. End of the day i would wrap up the truck cables , disconnect regulators on O2, and oxy. Lock up cabinets gather our lunch bags from the day hit the garbage cans in camp and head in for showers and dinner. Rinse and repeat for 6 months.

Driving to and from work with the winter conditions 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great people and bosses to work with and for. One of the owners came out to site the same day that my truck broke down I had to get it towed to a mechanic shop so he spent two nights in a rig shack and lent me his truck to use until mine was up and running again 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was usually with the bore crew so I had to sit and swing drill rods onto the drill rig.and dig the exit holes then when finished I would dig the entry (rig) side out too

Didn’t have any benefits as I was always a temp labourer. Good group of people to work with, everyone is nice there, pay attention to when people tell you how to do things, ask questions and have a good attitude and you’ll enjoy it. Be prepare to walk a lot or run in some instances. Learned every aspect on how to build a pipeline. They pay sub

Everybody was there to work. 
Never saw an issue not overcome. 
Go out of their way, helpful coworkers, mechanics  and supervisors on my 3-4 projects. 
Head office never made a mistake, so not much contact other than the call and directions to go. 


Lincoln County is where it all started for me in the Oil & Gas industry. Management was extremely helpful in teaching the fundamentals that were needed to get the job done safely and properly. The best part of the job was being able to see all over Alberta

Great management, awesome environment to work in. Don’t expect everything handed to you. The harder you work the more you are rewarded. Have never heard a bad work about Lincoln county other than people not ready to work hard. Have kept me working steady

Besides the short notice of the spring layoffs and below average pay scale the work I was given was adequate for the stage in which I was at at my apprenticeship. Worked with a lot of good guys and made a lot of good contacts

Great group of guys to work with, they get the job done, they help yeah out if needed, good equipment to operate, very competative in the industry, i would recommend them for any oilfield work

This is a good company to work for pays well and listens to concerns, saftey is a priority with them and will take steps to avoid an accident, the people are good to work with and problems are solved quite well

My co-workers were very helpful and able to answer any questions I had, both they and my supervisor always made me feel welcome and never did anything that I felt made working there harder than it had to be.
