Often when employees had an issue with a coworker, management would advise us to talk about with our team - even when that coworker was in that team. Communication is extremely poor, on numerous occasions our families would find out centre changes, updates, etc. before staff - we were confused when families would ask us questions about a change that we were not aware had occurred. Recently, our sign in/out system on our personal devices has been updated and we now must allow the app to access our location at all times - even off the clock. 

This company has a very high turnover rate.  Communication from management is poor.  Management does not take complaints seriously.  Management do not do employee observations of her employees, at the remote sites.  Management will reduce your hours without notice.  Sometimes you only get the minimum amount of time allotted by the labour board for breaks, and nothing extra.  It's nothing to work for five hours before you are allowed to have a break.  If you complain to management about stuff you see or experience while in program they will not take it seriously.

very flexible place to work, its nice to have a management team hear what you have to say and see the changes put in place.  regular time off and consistent staff to cover are amazing!

weekly planning for all programs, easy going workplace.  transitions are made easier with the teams all getting a chance to talk things through for the team, and the children

Some of the staff are great. Planning time 4 by 10 shifts.

Management, drama, toxic work environment.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The staff created alot of drama. Management doesn't do much about it.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Basic child child care routines. Lots of staff changes.

A typical day at work included bathroom routines, lunch and snack times, lesson implementation, outdoor play, nap time and free play. I enjoyed the company of most of the other employees, and especially those of my bosses. I did great in regards to time management, was able to keep to the laid out routine of the day, and did my best when unexpected twists happened in the course of the day, ie. fire drills.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The management team is so amazing and helpful. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not much stress if you have experience in childcare. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very open and kind. I would recommend anyone to work here.

I worked as a RECE in the infant room at the centre and enjoyed every minute of it. Coworkers are amazing and supportive. The management are amazing and willing to work with staff.

It was a great atmosphere. Love working with the children. Some of my coworkers were difficult to work with. It had to be their way or you weren't doing it right. I believe those employees have left after I did.

I worked as a supply staff for 2. 5 years. Over the last year, managent has been horrible. Micromanaging, no praise and hard on staff.
I found another job due to management. 
I worked in all programs as a supply staff and the staff themselves are great!
