As an employee of Linkon Communications, I must express my disappointment with the overall working environment and company policies. While the company offers a single benefit for immigration purposes, the rest of the experience is far from satisfactory.

Firstly, the lack of a proper pay structure is concerning and demotivating for employees. Without clarity on compensation, it’s challenging to feel valued or motivated to excel in our roles. Additionally, the management leaves much to be desired. Their ineffective leadership contributes to a chaotic work atmosphere and hampers productivity.

Moreover, the neglect of essential safety measures, such as providing snow tires for vans, poses significant risks to employees who operate vehicles in hazardous conditions. This oversight not only jeopardizes the safety of the workforce but also reflects poorly on the company’s commitment to employee well-being.

Furthermore, the practice of withholding technicians’ job letters for an extended period, purportedly to torture employees, is unacceptable and unprofessional. This unnecessary delay causes undue stress and uncertainty for individuals relying on these documents for their livelihoods.

In conclusion, while Linkon Communications may fulfill a single immigration-related benefit, its numerous shortcomings overshadow any positive aspects. From the lack of a fair pay structure to subpar management and safety measures, the company fails to create a conducive and respectful work environment for its employees. It’s imperative for Linkon Communications to address these issues promptly to improve employee satisfaction and overall performance.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is always a friendly atmosphere between the colleagues and management. Constant workflow and professional standards.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None. If I had any questions about anything, the management would always clear it.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Every season the company gets together to do the seasonal breakfast and show the progress and what are next jobs are for the next season. The people there were very happy and friendly, even for the new guys.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The schedule was great, always getting together every morning to discuss what was happening, sending each one to its location or job site.

While working with Link-On Communications, I have learned various different tasks; assisting with payroll, dispatching, the use of Excel; creating reports, data entry and training new employee. On a daily basis, I handle incoming emails that must be acknowledged promptly, customer escalations, work permits and locates, along with supervising and helping fellow coworkers. The hardest part of the position is the long, mandatory work hours required, that go beyond 40 hours per week. The most enjoyable part of the position, is that I am able to work with minimal supervisor.

Company truck, home at normal times nearly every night, pretty loose 'leash' for the workers, decent raises are pretty hard to come by no matter what skills/work ethic you have, pretty good culture depending what division your with, workplace is pretty divided as the different crews stick amongst themselves such as aerial, tech, construction, and fibre. No overtime or premiums for night work or outages unless over 40hrs where it's just regular OT which is hard to hit in a typical week under normal conditions

Internet (coax and fiber) service install and troubleshooting, camera doorbell install and troubleshooting. I have learned so much since I joined the team 3 years ago and I very enjoy the achievement of helping customers. Almost 1 in 2 are senior citizens who are behind technology. I have received over 50 written compliments from my customers which will be available upon request. the most enjoyable part of the job is all customer giving me the most respect even thought sometimes they are not satisfied due to certain system issues. It makes me trully believe attitude is everything

Best part of working here was cool coworkers, and my last day.

Asked to do more than what you were hired for, no extra pay, at times unsafe conditions 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is being tasked unreasonably, and watched like a prisoner. Work culture is unprofessionally casual.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day was a completely different day. But mostly busy mornings

This company is interested in making the most money possible with spending the least amount possible. They lack safety training and are very poorly managed. The employee is placed very low on the priority list of management. Tools and vehicles are not up to safety code and their methods are questionable. Link-On will also pay you well below what you have earned and trying to get missed wages is nearly impossible. It is often 20% less than what it should be.

it use to be great place to work, fun working environment which thought me technical work like installing and fixing phones, Tv and internet connections. The company have 250 employees which was a great help and unity for giving a good costumer service.
The hardest part was dealing costumer complaints and repair of bad connections. The most enjoyable part was installing new connections as I like talking to people. During installation I use to meet a lot of new people.

Working at Link Communication Company has been a very positive experience as an employee. The workplace culture is friendly, supportive, and encourages open communication across all levels. Colleagues and managers are approachable, always ready to listen, and willing to help when challenges arise. Teamwork is highly valued, and everyone cooperates to complete tasks efficiently and meet common goals.

Link-On feels like a family, office staff and field staff are all supportive. Advancement is available to those that put in the time and excel in their roles. Majority of the management team were all members of the field staff at one time in their careers.
