If I were in a tight spot, I'd still think twice before considering a position at Liquidation Nation. Imagine spending your days dealing with massive pallets full of Costco returns and overstock, trying to make everything fit onto the sales floor where there's clearly not enough room. It's a constant juggle, and just when you think you've got a handle on it, management nudges you to pick up the pace and clear more space, often without lending a hand. Typically, it's you and maybe one other colleague scrambling to cover a lot of ground.

Now, about the owners the 'Youssof Brothers' let's just say they're not winning any popularity contests. They seem indifferent to employee feedback and more focused on their bottom line, often at the staff's expense. Every so often, they drop by, give the place a once-over with a nod and a non-committal "Ok-ok," then proceed to ignore any suggestions for improvement.

Lately, there's been a noticeable trend towards reducing staff hours and abruptly letting people go, only to replace them with migrant workers paid below the standard wage. Training seems to be an afterthought, leaving new hires to sink or swim in an environment where the expectations are high but the support is low. This approach fosters a workplace culture that's not just challenging but downright toxic at times, with a clear divide between the favored few and the rest who bear the brunt of the workload under constant pressure.

And then there's the bizarre expectation that employees play security guard against shoplifters, risking personal safety over items that often cost less than an hour's wage. It's an unreasonable ask, especially considering the company's resources could easily cover professional security services.

In essence, Liquidation Nation might not be the best choice for those seeking a supportive and fair workplace. The high turnover rate speaks volumes about the working conditions and overall morale. The Youssof brothers, at the helm, should ideally take a moment to reassess their approach towards their employees, who are, after all, the backbone of the business. For anyone considering a job here, it might be worth looking into other opportunities where your efforts are recognized and valued.

Typical day at work was all over the place no communication ever.
Didn't learn anything mostly because 'managment' doesn't teach any new employees to do anything the way they want. Just kind of throw you in and hope u sink or swim.
Management is just an absolute joke.
The workplace culture is the most toxic of environments I've worked in. Management like I said is just simply a joke and the owners are clowns. Gossip all the time.
The job isn't hard. A monkey could do it. Management just needs to start training new staff properly.
Only enjoyable part of the job was weekly pay and a few of the people I worked with were good people.

Worst manger there ever was! Has everyone else do her job is very negative and it’s do as I say not as I do and will use anything against you to make herself look better. Poor pay no breaks and a dirty work environment. They make product look new and sell it as such when it’s NOT!!  You can get a minimum wage job anywhere and be treated like a human being but you won’t be here.

Steer clear - managed poorly.  Half the time no one knows what is going on.  Do not ask questions or expect any kind of "normal" retail environment.  Half the stuff in the store is used.  They know it is used and you are supposed to act shocked when customer brings it back - no refund of course just store credit to buy even more used junk. Having to be on the front lines of this place is soul sucking.  Unless you like ripping people off.  If you do then this might be the place for you.

All employees are viewed as disposable. The only good thing about working at the warehouse is the set schedule. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Management is rude and honestly they just straight up don't care about their employees and if they stay or go. They fire people all the time. Save your sanity and stay away.

Management is horrible, definitely favouritism that happens here. Hires friends and family, then treats them differently and let’s them do whatever they want. Manager just doesn’t know how to be a manager. Talks bad about all the workers and starts drama. It’s like high school all over, just overall a terrible place to work.

The only people who can work there is people who doesn't have kids. They do not respect you and treat you like your stupid and that your an outsider. They don't give you flexible hours and expect you to work even if your child has needs or that you have to pick them up. I got fired for asking to leave early to pick up my son from his Daycare.

Very good, just very important the manager in turn and the owners sometimes don't have the human part to be a good boss and only want to yell and give orders.

I have learned a lot of Magento systems and reinforced values like punctuality, teamwork and, customer service

They are penny pinchers.  if you punch in early that is fine with them but punch out a minute early and they doc your pay.  they do not keep the warehouse where I worked at the minimum 68 degrees that is required by law.  sometimes it got down to 60 degrees.
