Management the founder lacks experience in staff management and classroom operations. There is a strong focus on appearances and personal image rather than supporting employees or improving daily practice. Staff input, concerns, and individual circumstances are often ignored in a very rudely manner.

Advancement and promotions appear to be based on personal favoritism rather than performance, skills, or work ethic. Employees who are not favored may experience a hostile work environment, increased pressure, and treatment that makes it difficult to continue working there, leading many to leave. Overall, the leadership style contributes to high turnover and low staff morale.

I was an educator in one of the classrooms and it was a good experience until towards the end of my employment with them. THERE IS A HIGH TURN OUT RATE! Please do not be surprised if they terminate you without a reason! (This happened to me) -The culture of this place seems fake. The educators here act like they are there to support you but really they don't. There was a time where I was left alone with 12 children for roughly an hour or more, and I had no support from anyone. I highly recommend that if you do want to work here, please have tough skin! Personally I wouldn't want to send any children here based on how the educators treat the children. No formal background on how to redirect children or how to calm down challenging behaviours, the educators tend to pull and somewhat harm the child. Please reconsider if you do plan to work here. 

The teachers are all exceptional people and so nice to work with but the ownership team don't really seem to have a grasp on what they are doing. There is a lot of politics involved in this daycare if you disagree with how it is run then you are talked about and back stabbed, as a parent or staff member. As a parent if you're not someone who fits their ideal then you won't be getting a spot in the daycare for your child. As an employee they will treat you well one day then the next you're nothing to them, they can create an extremely uncomfortable and toxic environment. Good luck trying to ask for help, it seems a very big intrusion when you do. You're treated as very disposable, they can let you go with no reason behind it whatsoever and at a moments notice

A typical day at work consisted of giving the children breakfast that was provided, taking them outside for play. Doing daily lessons with them and practicing weekly vocabulary words. I also Interacted with the children during free time and communicated with parents on a daily basis. This job taught me how to handle various situations and how to always leave personal feelings and issues outside of the work environment. The most enjoyable part to my day was being with the children. The hardest part was dealing with different personalities, but I learned to get along with everyone and be a team player.

Classroom staffs are great to work with. Children and families were wonderful. It’s the management that’s hostile and expects more from you more than what they’re paying you. Supervisor is unprofessional and mood is unpredictable. Management treats you good when they need something from you but when you need something from them, they treat you with hostility. Supervisor treats their staff with no respect. They gossip around the office and loves the drama. It’s a very toxic environment. 

The parents and families were wonderful thoughtful people. The staff only hung around whoever they worked in a class with. Lack of communication between staff. Management is very fake, they act nice and talk to you like your a great employee and then without notice or reason they fire you. High turnover rate is an awful thing to do when working with kids. They are all about the money and not the well being of their staff. If i was a parenting paying that much I would be livid at the amount of new teachers coming in and out of that place.

Management is emotional and unprofessional in every manner. 
Management pits teachers against each other with gossip and irrational tasks
Focus is not at all on the students or their development.
Contradictions on every rule which causes confusion and ultimate quitting/firing.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Everything!!  I moved to other city and I really missed everything about that place.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with families wich is more than normal.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is very relax and nice.

This is certainly not an example of child-centred learning. My experience was brief but I ultimately learned that the only incentive here was profit. 
I did not enter my profession to work in such a meaningless environment for children and educators. There is no support from management. Lacks a view of support for the educators.

Been with the centre for just over two years. I think the criticism that has been posted here definitely has some validity, but there's been some progression since I started. The management team has been completely new since May 2023 and the owner has retired. They've joined the CWELCC program and are prioritizing staff wage increases.
