The company has seen some pretty significant changes over the last 5+ years, and almost all of them are for the better. There are still some hangovers from having the same systems and many staff there for 25+ years but overall seems to be moving in the right direction. If very slowly. 

Bro-culture is still a bit of a thing but it will depend on your department as they vary greatly and there is little interaction between them. Outside of Sales and Customer Service the company is more diverse, generic and older-leaning.

The overall company culture is a bit lacking and bland, there aren't company group rides, corporate events are once or twice a year if that and there is no real acknowledgement for birthdays, milestones, promotions etc. beyond a quick email. 

Work-life balance is great, your job ends at 5 and you're not expected to answer outside of working hours. They also support you when you need it and are generally accommodating. 

Growth opportunities seem somewhat limited with senior positions getting filled with 20+ year veterans or outside hires. 

Support from the company was high during COVID, proving people with extra sick/flex time, benefits for all employees even newer ones, WFH flexibility and implementation of meaningful safety protocols.  

Pay raises every year but consistently sub-inflation numbers, better than nothing though. 

Overall a good company on its way to become a great, 21st century one, it just may take a while. 

As stated in the title this is a great place to work if you need a flexible schedule for your schooling. Also fantastic if you enjoy mountain biking or road biking because you get great discounts. 
If you're not into biking at all then this is just another warehouse picker job. Either way, yes it does get very monotonous but usually the people there are very friendly and it's not always so go, go, go.
Management is alright.. Some questionable hires or the way certain things are handled but other than that its fine.
I prefered working on the receiving shift because it had you starting earlier and gave you a pretty good workout unloading containers.
No where to move up unless you stay there 10+ years looking for a management position or if you're lucky maybe a job upstairs, but its kind of a reach.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working at live to play sports was starting out as the newest member and don’t know my coworkers but I discovered it was just a mental thing 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was very good there was always some one to help when ever you need it even though there was different cultures 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would receive orders which I would verify the order items quality,quantity then pack it and label it for shipment

The co-workers are very friendly and it was fun going to the office and hanging out with my co-workers. If you like cycling its a great place to be. Quite a lot of opportunity to learn outside your role if you choose to take on that challenge. Down side is since headquarters are out in Vancouver there is not a lot of opportunity to climb up the company ladder. 

Assignments changed daily and sometimes assignments were changed on the fly.  Normally the day started with picking orders followed by packing and shipping.
Management was KPI driven but fair.
The hardest part of the job was the heavy lifting.
Most enjoyable part was learning their system.

Live to Play sports was one of the best employers I have ever had. The managers always made sure to do their best in keeping a fair and happy work environment and the employees made going into work very enjoyable.

The days always moved by quite fast as there was always something to do. Very fast paced! 

I Gained several very valuable skills working for LTP and very much enjoyed my time there.

Great job to learn all about bicycles. You learn all the different components of a bicycle; parts and the engineering of it. You can make new connections from Bike Shop Owners/Retailers.

A company for young people. Great for those who are working their way up in the cycling industry and wanting to add to their resume.
