The team of servers are incredible, made some good friends and all the staff gets along and works well together from the servers to the on site supervisors. However the management side of things is almost laughable, you get your schedule a week in advance, they book you in for hours they have already told them you cannot work. Open ended hours could be finished at 10pm or 2am and you will be forced to stay if no one else volunteers to close. And finally they took away our $5 commission when the minimum wage got raised and masked it as a 2% raise when in reality we where getting a 25% pay cut.

I have learnt how to treat customers, different areas of taxation, accounting, finance and so on.
I have also managed my assistants during their internship in the absence of the main person.
Every time i enjoyed my work so there is no hard time of things but when customers are not satisfied according to my decided level then i tried to provide more good services.
Everyday doing the work with enjoyment is the best part of the job

The Staff and Management are supportive and genuine, the culture is friendly and helpful. Everyone does their part to ensure the wheels go round and that the machine moves forwards.

Awful. the events coordinator is rude, selfish and absolutely NOT a team player. They take zero consideration for a students school schedule. This job will teach you life skills such as learning how dumb people are

I loved working at the Convention Centre the hours were long but the staff and the free food alway made up for the hard work we had to put out. I always felt safe and comfortable while working

Good management. Very flexible and always willing to work with their employees family life and other work schedules. Easy to switch shifts on short notice. Fair wages.

I asked for hours that would allow me to still be successful with my school work but the company did not accommodate. The shifts were very long and you would have no idea as to when you will get off.

But not enough hours for a casual porter sometimes. Good for casual workers though. Good team. Good supervisors.Very random scheduling sometimes. Maybe worth it.
