Thoroughly enjoyed customer service, team work, a fun environment with emphasis on the 'Fish Philosophy' to motivate sales associates. Able to influence sales associates strengths in customer service and attention to environmental standards.

Lack of policies and guidelines as well as North American HR resources resulted in Management interpretation and lack of consistency in handling Store issues.These issues included reporting and referencing policies and guidelines to direct and monitor various roles at the Store.

Co=workers fit into two camps, those at the Store to work and learn and those not interested in productivity showing up from pay to pay and not contributing to a team work approach.

At head office, the amount of 'glitches' in a day would make you sick! Your a verbal punching bag to all customers via telephone and email. You kinda have to wing it and make your own answers to help yourself get through the day as upper management seems to have no clue what your supposed to do either. You only get a promotion if your aunt or mom work there. Having said that, coworkers were pleasant. The tense atmosphere is minutely offset by a company barbecue every other week in the summer months. This Canadian company was taken over by another from England. Their ideals on the North American market were quite "off". They eventually closed the whole head office, save for upper management, of course.

Usually retail is one of the dreaded places to work, but it is a completely different environment here. You work with a few people and really get to know the staff and customers. The benefits provided here, especially for part time employees is pretty great compared to most places. The starting salary is higher than usual and you won't get many raises, but the company makes up for it in other ways. Hours are great, no late evenings or early mornings. Not stressful at all, and the management is very understanding and approachable.

Most days are very busy and you can feel very swept off your feet by the end of the day. our management could have been better, but she was still very lovely. The employee perks are great.. 50% off everything and then £150+ voucher each season to buy new uniforms etc and other employee perks. you are well looked after by the company and your fellow employees. Loved working here.. felt like we were the LTS family. But will definitely keeping in touch with some as i feel I've made some long term friendships here! :)

You'll find some of the most amazing, hardworking women working at this company, and some of the greatest, sweetest customers around! 
The most enjoyable part of the job was being surrounded by such lovely, tall women. As a 6' foot women, I was always the tallest in my group of friends growing up, and always feeling a bit out of place. Working at Long Tall Sally helped me fully embrace and love my height, and of course, gave me access to such wonderful clothes that were longer in length and fit properly! 

It was and overall good working environment with some great people. I learned how to use 2 difference accounting programs handling shipping and inventory with a retail company, being Long Tall Sally. All of this however, came to a end once the UK decided to run the company from there.

A typical day at work is basically attending to customers. I learn how to deal with some difficult people and the management is the best. the friendly spirit saturates the whole place. The only hard part of the job was doing stock and of course every other thing I love about my job.

LTS was a part-time, weekends only position for me.  I earned minimum wage, however did receive clothing allowances.  Store manager was enjoyable to work with.
The store closed in February 2019, processing orders on-line only now

fun place to work, enjoyed interacting with the customers, there were not too many tasks, hardest part of the job was the commute, i earned regular minimum wage

Although, the Long Tall Sally business is closing down it is a fun work environment and I really enjoy working with certain people. the customers are always so nice and that makes the job easier.
